Sari SLA, Pangastuti A, Susilowati A, Purwoko Tj, Mahajoeno E, Hidayat W, Mardhena I, Panuntun DF, Kurniawati D, Anitasari R. 2016. Cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic bacteria from the gut of Oryctes rhinoceros larvae. Biodiversitas 17: 78-83. Lignocellulose is very potential as raw material for biofuel production because it is cheap, abundant and renewable. The main carbohydrate constituents of lignocellulosic material are cellulose and hemicelluloses (a group of heteropolymers that includes xylans and mannans). The most important process in bioethanol production from lignocellulose is the bioconversion of polysaccharides into fermentable sugar. Enzymatic hydrolysis has been developed because it is the more environmentally approach. Since the cost of hydrolytic enzyme production is the major problem of the process, many type of research has been focused on lowering the cost of enzyme production, including screening for organisms with a novel enzyme. This present study was conducted to isolate and screen of the cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic Bacteria from the gut of Oryctes rhinoceros L. larvae. The 3 rd instars were used in this research. The research succeeded to isolate 11 bacterial isolates from the gut of O. rhinoceros larvae. The screening result demonstrated that bacterial isolates had cellulolytic (63.6% of total isolates), xylanolytic (72.7% of total isolates), and mannanolytic (100% of total isolates) activity. Based on the 16S rDNA sequence, 10 isolates were classified into Bacillus and only 1 isolate was classified into Citrobacter. The GOR2 which was closely related to Bacillus pumilus vit bac1 has the highest cellulolytic and xylanolytic activities. The isolate with the highest mannanolytic activity was the GOR7 which was closely related to Bacillus aryabhattai strain IHB B 6821.
E-learning was a form of media learning that integrates ICT products. E-learning was equipped with learning management features such as communication facilities, monitoring, and evaluation. Edmodo was an alternative medium of e-learning that provide good learning management, easy to operate, and facilitate large digital classroom. An experiment was conducted to test Edmodo as an asynchronous learning medium. The experiment used pre-experimental research design, one-group pretest-posttest type. Experiment was conducted in Project Management of Information System (PMIS) lecture, Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University. PMIS was subjects that equip students with the competencies of effective communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and creativity in planning a project. The purpose of the experiment was whether the use of Edmodo could improve the quality of project planning and whether Edmodo was an effective learning media for asynchronous learning process. The experiment results showed that the use of Edmodo as an asychronous e-learning media to improve the quality of the project in PMIS cour...
The aims of this research are to know about mathematical problem-solving ability student of senior high school towards trigonometry material, mathematical reasoning ability student of senior high school towards the statistical material, and self-efficacy ability in mathematics learning students of a senior high school. The research used descriptive qualitative research, and the research object is XI IPA of senior high school. The chosen students are students who have learned about trigonometry and statistic. The chosen students who become sample are 30 students. In this research, the technic used tests, with the instruments used are question and questionnaire. The test consists of 5 question about mathematics problem-solving, 5 question of mathematical reasoning, and 40 questionnaires of self-efficacy ability. According to the results of our research, it can be concluded that the students' ability in problem-solving and reasoning mathematics is low, while students' ability in self-efficacy is good. It can be seen that the students have good self-efficacy ability along with the problem-solving ability and reasoning ability that are still low.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
