Entrepreneurship education has been considered as one of the important factors to grow and develop passion, soul and entrepreneurial behavior among the younger generation. Attitudes, behavior and knowledge about entrepreneurship will form the tendency to open new businesses in the future. Related to the influence of entrepreneurship education, it is necessary to have an understanding of how to develop and encourage the birth of potential young entrepreneurs while in school. Realizing this, the government through the Ministry of Education and Culture made a curriculum change that included craft and entrepreneurship subjects (crafts, engineering, processing and cultivation) in primary and secondary education. The new curriculum also encourages all learning to use a scientific approach. However, craft education and entrepreneurship in Indonesia have not fully contributed positively to the intelligence and welfare of the nation, whereas the potential of entrepreneurship in Indonesia is very large, especially when viewed from the data of the number of small and medium businesses that exist. This article provides an overview of how the implementation of craft and entrepreneurship learning (crafts, engineering, processing and cultivation) with scientific approaches carried out by teachers according to student perception.
Kesesuaian kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dengan kebutuhan di industri mutlak diperlukan. Program SMK Pusat Keunggulan (SMK PK) yaitu program yang mendorong adanya keselarasan dan menyeluruh antara sekolah dengan industri. Program SMK PK meliputi bidang kurikulum, pembelajaran, peningkatan jumlah dan peran instruktur dari industri, praktik industri, sertifikasi kompetensi, update teknologi, Riset terapan, dan serapan lulusan oleh dunia kerja. Program SMK PK tersebut di atas, tentu menjadi tantangan baru baik bagi sekolah maupun guru. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi sekolah dan guru dalam Program SMK PK. Hal ini penting untuk dilakukan karena melalui kegiatan identifikasi ini maka kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan akan sesuai kebutuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah wawancara secara mendalam untuk memperoleh informasi secara komprehensip tantangan yang dihadapi oleh sekolah dan guru. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa sekolah masih menghadapi kesulitan dalam menjalin hubungan dengan industri sehingga berdampak pada pengembangan kurikulum, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, kehadiran instruktur dari industri, dan magang kerja. Sementara masalah yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah pemahaman tentang kurikulum operasional, terbatasnya informasi dan pelatihan banyaknya istilah baru yang digunakan dalam kurikulum. Oleh karena itu fasilitasi bermitra dengan industri dan pelatihan pemahaman guru terhadap kurikulum perlu dilakukan.
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran menggunakan media berbasis IT lebih tinggi dari pada pembelajaran yang menggunakan media non IT. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian Quasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Perlakuan berupa penggunaan media berbasis IT dan media non IT untuk pembelajaran Sistem Kelistrikan, Chasis, dan Las Cair Busur Listrik Elektroda Terbungkus. Subyek penelitian diambil dari siswa SMK kelas XI dari tiga sekolah.di Kabupaten Sleman dan Kota Magelang. Setiap sekolah diambil dua rombongan belajar sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas control. Penetuan subyek penelitian dilakukan secara propursive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan post test dan observasi. Validasi instrumen dilakukan oleh pakar Perguruan Tinggi dan SMK. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan Uji Jenjang Wilconxon. Hasil penelitian menujukkan rerata aktivitas belajar siswa selama mengikuti pembelajaran pada kelas kontrol (dengan media berbasis non IT) antara cukup-baik (skore 67.00; 74.25, dan 63.13), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen(dengan media berbasis IT) termasuk baik (skore 74.50; 73.25; dan 75.00). Penggunaan media berbasis IT dalam pembelajaran tidak semua dapat membuat aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa lebih tinggi dari pada kelas yang menggunakan media berbasis non IT.Kata kunci: Media Berbasis IT, Aktivitas Belajar, Prestasi Belajar
The study aimed to: (1) mapping the competencies of graduates in the field of Automotive Engineering Education Study Program of the FT UNY required by the TKRO of Vocational Expertise and the Automotive Industry, (2) Identify the competencies in the field of Automotive Engineering which occupied by graduates of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program of the FT UNY in order to meet the needs of TKRO Vocational School and Automotive Industry, and (3) Determine the relevance of the competencies in the field of Automotive Engineering which is possessed by graduates of the Automotive Engineering Education Study program with the competencies required by TKRO Vocational and Automotive Industry. This research was descriptive research with a survey of senior teachers at the TKRO Vocational School and the vehicle service industry in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used questionnaire and interview methods by using the questionnaire instruments and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis in the form of percentages and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the responses the party of the Vocational School, the soft skill competencies of the highest order and most needed are knowledge, discipline, and honesty. The competencies possessed by graduates of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program of FT-UNY from the highest to the lowest are discipline, honesty and interest. The graduates of PTO FT UNY are superior to the theoretical aspects than the practical aspect. Based on the response of the Automotive Industry, the soft skills needed by the industry from the highest to the lowest are honesty, discipline, and cooperation. The competencies possessed by graduates from the highest to the lowest are honesty, cooperation, and discipline. The material mastery of the graduates of the Automotive Engineering Education of FT UNY based on the theory and practice showed that the theoretical ability of the graduates of PTO FT UNY is better than practical abilities.
This study aims to (1) produce a Grade XI Conventional Fuel System Module Product at SMK Muh 1 Bambanglipuro; (2) validate the feasibility of a conventional fuel system module in SMK Muh 1 Bambanglipuro. This study is a research and development (R & D), conducted at SMK Muh 1 Bambanglipuro. The approach refer to the ADDIE model consists of 5 stages; (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation; (5) evaluations. Module design validation consists of two aspects: material validation and media validation. The study involved 24 students of Grade XI of Light Vehicle Engineering (LVE) class as the product users. Data collection is carried out using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative, confirmed to the feasibility scale table. After validation and some revisions, the final product of the module packed in 21 x 14.8 cm paper size, consists of 81 pages. The feasibility assessment of the module product score is 78.34%, considered as very feasible.
