Place attachment is conceptualized as a multidimensional construct reflecting the bond between individuals and places. Tourists may also develop an attachment to a destination, and attachment could be an essential measure of tourist satisfaction and destination loyalty. Therefore, this study empirically evaluates a model linking place attachment, satisfaction, and destination loyalty. The study also analyses the mediating effect of satisfaction on the relationship between place attachment and destination loyalty in island tourism destination context. Data were collected from 311 domestic tourists visiting Bozcaada Island, Turkey. An analysis was carried out using a Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through structural equation modelling to test the theoretical model. After the analysis, significant and positive relationships were determined between place attachment, satisfaction, and destination loyalty variables. With this research, place attachment and satisfaction are defined as the antecedents that have an important place in the formation of destination loyalty. The relations of these antecedents with each other and destination loyalty and their direct and indirect effects on the construction of loyalty are revealed. In line with these effects, a series of suggestions for literature and practice are presented.
Customer satisfaction is an important factor for companies in order to exist and survive. It is considered that brand experience and brand name have important effects on knowledge and pleasure after the sale. This study aims to determine the relationship between brand experience (sensory-affective, behavioral, and intellectual dimensions) and brand name variables with customer satisfaction. In this context, a field study was conducted on 300 students registered at Trakya University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (Department of Business Administration) and Social Sciences Institute (Department of Business Administration). In the selection of brand, individuals who have used the said brand were chosen as a prerequisite, and therefore, a leader fast-food restaurant brand which serves in Edirne was selected. As a result of this study, both brand experiences and brand name have positively affected customer satisfaction. According to the bivariate correlation analysis, a positive and medium strength relationship was revealed between dimensions of brand experience and brand name variables with customer satisfaction.
This study aims to reveal the relationship between autocratic leadership, work stress and cyberloafing. For this purpose, a study was carried out on hotel businesses. A survey method was used to reveal the correlation between the variables. Autocratic leadership scale, work stress scale and cyberloafing scale were used in the research. The survey consists of two parts. The first part includes items to determine, autocratic leadership behavior, work stress and cyberloafing behavior. The last part of the survey includes questions to measure demographic characteristics. The survey was carried out online and face-to-face. The data obtained from 216 surveys were analyzed using the SmartPLS program. PLS-SEM method was used for the analysis of the research model. As a result of the analysis, it was found that autocratic leadership behavior and work stress did not have a statistically significant direct effect on cyberloafing. On the other hand, it was concluded that work stress played a moderator role in the effect of autocratic leadership on cyberloafing behavior.
