The work overload permeates as constant subjects of debates, causing damage to both professionals and assisted patients. In view of the relevance of the theme, the work aims to: reflect and discuss current perspectives in the context of the assessment of the burden on the nursing team and the impact on the quality of care provided to patients. Theoretical-reflective, descriptive study with a qualitative approach, which was built through the bibliographic exploration of the theme. After reading, two guiding axes were designated to reflect on the theme. It is observed that there is the implementation of health policies related to the theme, as well as instruments that can assist in the assessment of the burden, but it appears that there is a need for a look directed at the worker and his needs, because the burden is associated with losses in terms of patient safety and quality of care. Therefore, it is observed that for a good assistance, with the minimum acceptable errors, it is necessary to hospital institutions that promote working conditions, with efficiency in physical and human resources and cohesive institutional processes for a safe exercise.

Nurses increasingly assume leadership roles throughout the health care delivery chain and their responsibilities permeate the entire care process. The present study aims to know what the national and international literature has presented, in the period from 2015 to 2019, on the theme leadership in nursing in relation to palliative care. It is a reflective study. To support the reflection, a survey of the literature was carried out in the online databases Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and Scientific Electronic Library Online. The descriptors used were as follows: "Palliative care", "leadership" and "nursing". The search was carried out in February 2020, and four articles were selected that helped in the discussion. Leading nurses with knowledge in palliative care are essential for the success of care initiatives. Furthermore, it is necessary to establish links between the professional and the patient in order to guarantee qualified, comprehensive and continuous care, encompassing family / caregiver in a humanized, resolutive way, with quality and responsibility. The importance of leadership and the use of communication were identified as strategies that allow nurses to implement changes in order to provide quality palliative care. Nursing leadership in the face of palliative care arises naturally, since the nurse receives information from all members of the multidisciplinary team, being a link between all professionals, as well as between the family and the team.

Para isso apresenta o sistema ABO, que é essencial para as transfusões, traz orientações gerais sobre o procedimento, bem como algumas indicações, ressaltando que requer avaliação médica para predeterminar o componente e a quantidade a ser utilizada. Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir acerca do processo saúde-doença na velhice, na perspectiva do normal e do patológico. Trata-se de um ensaio teórico-reflexivo, com base filosófica, que se deu por meio da obra “O normal e o patológico”, do filósofo e médico francês Georges Canguilhem. Para embasar a reflexão e a discussão, foram utilizadas publicações científicas acerca das temáticas sobre envelhecimento humano, velhice, processo saúde-doença no envelhecimento e na velhice, normal e patológico, e algumas políticas públicas. A reflexão propõe dois capítulos: “o processo saúde-doença na velhice: o que é normal e o que é patológico?” e “envelhecimento e velhice no plano das políticas públicas de saúde”. A quebra de paradigmas referentes ao envelhecimento e a velhice ainda é incipiente, tanto na sociedade quanto nas políticas públicas de saúde. Envelhecer é algo complexo, não cabendo fixar limites ou fronteiras entre essas duas vertentes, ou entre a saúde e a doença.
