Mathematics is an essential subject to study so that it must be pursued in its implementation and possible. The existence of the covid-19 pandemic requires all learning activities to be carried out online. But in practice, online learning experiences several obstacles, especially in learning mathematics. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to describe the constraints in the online-based mathematics learning process (e-learning). This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII SMPN 1 Rawamerta. The research instrument was in the form of a student response questionnaire regarding online-based learning (e-learning), which consisted of seven closed questions and four open questions. Data collection was carried out by distributing the google link form to the student response questionnaire to the research subject. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by testing the validity of the data through triangulation techniques. The results showed that students' obstacles in online-based mathematics learning (e-learning) were technical and personal constraints. Technical constraints are in the form of an unstable internet network, internet quota, and teacher explanations that are not heard clearly. In contrast, unique constraints are the lack of students in understanding the learning material and feeling lazy to take online-based mathematics learning.
Mathematical problem solving is a skill that must be possessed by students because it is very important to solve problems and include goals in learning mathematics. But at the time of math learning some students have difficulty in solving problems because of the low mathematical problem-solving ability that students have. This research aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade VIII students in solving mathematical problems in patterns of numbers. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. Purposive sampling techniques were used to select subjects in the study, and selected 6 students as research subjects. This study uses 3 questions in the form of a description. The data collection techniques in this study are tests and interview skills. The study was conducted using the results of student answers analyzed based on indicators of problem-solving skills based on the Polya stage. The results of this study showed that students' mathematical problem-solving skills on indicators wrote information and wrote a settlement plan is 55.56% including moderate categories, then on the problem solving indicators is 44.45% including moderate categories, and on the indicator evaluate is 22.23% including low categories.
Kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu kemampuan siswa saat mempertimbangkan masalah serta memutuskan sebuah keputusan sehingga dapat memecahkan sebuah masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini guna menganalisis kemampuan berpikir matematis siswa di materi pecahan. Penelitian ini mempergunakan metode deskriptif pendekatannya kualitatif. Penelitian ini menelaah atau menunjukan hasil jawaban siswa pada materi pecahan berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Pelaksanaan penelitian pada kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Tirtamulya, dengan pemilihan sampel secara acak yaitu 20 siswa dari kelas VII – A. Penelitian ini mempergunakan instrument soal meliputi 2 soal uraian materi pecahan. Analisis tersebut dilakukan terhadap jawaban siswa sesuai indikator instrument soal. Penelitian menghasilkan berdasarkan setiap indikator sesuai persentase kategori kemampuan berpikir kritis, diketahui 100% siswa mampu menginterpretasikan dengan tepat, 50% siswa dapat membuat model matematika, lalu terdapat 15% siswa yang mampu menggunakan strategi dalam perhitungan dan secara tepat waktu menyelesaikan soal, serta 15 siswa mampu menyimpulkan dengan tepat. Oleh karena itu, siswa masih banyak siswa yang berkemampuan berpikir kritis rendah
Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kombinasi (mixed method) model sequential explanatory. Dalam penelitian ini, metode kuantitatif dilaksanakan terlebih dahulu sebelum metode kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif dilakukan dengan pemberian instrumen tes dan pengolahan data dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Sementara metode kualitatif dilaksanakan dengan melakukan analisis jawaban dari instrumen tes dan wawancara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada materi trigonometri. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 13 Kota Bekasi. Adapun yang menjadi subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas XI IPA A. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan wawancara. Sementara teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah tahapan Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas XI IPS A pada materi trigonometri berada pada kategori baik dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 68,8. Siswa mampu mencapai seluruh indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dengan cukup baik.
