O artigo apresenta resultados obtidos em pesquisa realizada em 2002 com funcionários de um banco estatal de Ribeirão Preto, SP, que foram acometidos por Lesões por Esforços Repetitivos (LER). O objetivo da pesquisa foi conhecer o que determinou o adoecimento e quais foram as repercussões das LER no trabalho e na vida daqueles trabalhadores. Foram entrevistados 10 bancários (6 mulheres e 4 homens) com idades entre 41 e 49 anos. A seleção dos participantes levou em conta dois critérios: a) ser bancário com diagnóstico clínico compatível com LER desenvolvida no exercício da profissão, afastados ou não de suas atividades por este motivo; b) estar ou continuar trabalhando no banco quando da realização da pesquisa. Para todos os entrevistados, a LER significou um marco em sua trajetória de vida e trabalho: ficou evidente que não apenas as atividades profissionais ficaram comprometidas, mas também várias outras de seu cotidiano fora do espaço de trabalho como, por exemplo, atividades domésticas, de cuidados pessoais, de descanso, de lazer. Se as novas tecnologias adotadas pelos bancos, por um lado, otimizaram o trabalho bancário e aumentaram a produtividade, a eficiência dos serviços prestados, a lucratividade do setor, por outro, provocaram aumento da intensidade do trabalho, o que alterou as condições de trabalho e repercutiu na saúde dos bancários. De acordo com os dados obtidos foi possível perceber como os Planos de Demissão Voluntária (PDV) foram utilizados como instrumentos de pressão sobre os trabalhadores. Todos os bancários entrevistados que realizaram o registro da CAT mudaram de função após o diagnóstico de LER. Palavras-chave: Reestruturação produtiva, Saúde do trabalhador, Trabalho bancário. RSI and voluntary dismissal planes: trajectories of pain and suffering among bank employees The article presents the results obtained from a study conducted in 2002 with employees of a state-owned bank at Ribeirão Preto, SP, who were affected by Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI). The investigation aimed at learning about what determined the onset of the disease and the effects of RSI on those employees' lives and work. 10 bank employees (6 females and 4 males) at ages 41 to 49 were interviewed. The use of appropriate cushion is an effective measure in people with spinal cord injury. Implications for Rehabilitation Pressure injuries are a complication due to spinal cord injury. Study to compare the pressure distribution in the wheelchair seat of subjects with spinal cord injury is important to minimize the injuries resulting from pressure injuries. The comfort resulting from the use of the cushion suited to the demands of the subjects with spinal cord injury is fundamental for the process of rehabilitation and social participation of the people affected. Understanding and minimizing pressure points can contribute to the appropriate rehabilitation process.

Introduction: Spinal cord injury rehabilitation requires updating from professionals regarding the possible interventions that can enhance recovery. Virtual reality (VR) games have become evident as a resource used in the rehabilitation process. Their effectiveness is based on the theory of neuronal reorganization, mediated by mirror neurons, responsible for motor imagery. Objectives: To test the applicability and evaluation of the virtual game Gesture Chair by people with and without spinal cord injury, to identify users' perceptions about the characteristics and demands of the VR game after its use and compare the immediate effects of the game on motor performance components in both groups. Method: We analyzed upper limb range of motion (ROM) after performing a practice using the exergame in a sample of five subjects with spinal cord injury and a comparative group with five other participants. The game was applied for 15 minutes, counting periods of activity and rest, while the subject remained seated. Results: The number of subjects in the sample does not allow statistically significant results on changes in shoulder ROM; however, factors that interfered with performance, perceptions about initial contact with the activity, presence of muscular fatigue and pain that may be present related to the increase of energy expenditure during the action were identified. Regarding the interest, there were reports of demotivation and disinterest, but there were also reports considering the activity motivating. Conclusion: The study implies the importance of the process of choosing individualized resources during the rehabilitation process and the need for adaptation among users of novel technologies. Future studies will be able to analyze the enhancement of the game with different users.
Frente aos impactos causados pela pandemia de COVID–19 tem-se inaugurado experiências em diversas áreas profissionais, dentre as quais se destaca a Terapia Ocupacional. Identifica-se contribuições da área a partir da universidade pública e a produção de ações integradas de gestão, ensino, pesquisa, extensão e produção acadêmica. A partir do relato de experiências vividas na Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), ilustra-se como a dinamicidade do momento que tem convocado a (re)pensar a função social da universidade e imposto a necessidade de adotar novas reflexões e estratégias para a continuidade e/ou reorientação do trabalho para responder demandas de proporções pandêmicas, na interação entre docentes e discentes. Além disso, nota-se que o fomento de ações de apoio, acolhimento e cuidado, para além de questões administrativas e de caráter acadêmico pedagógicas, têm sido uma diretriz comum.AbstractConsidering the impacts caused by CoVid–19 pandemic, experiences have been opened in several professional areas, among which the occupational therapy performance stands out. Identify themselves contributions from public universities and from integrated actions of management, teaching, research, extension and academic production. From lived experience's at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) reports, it is illustrated how the moment's dynamism called us to (re) think the university social function and imposed the need to adopt new reflections and strategies for continuity and / or work reorientation , in response of pandemic proportions demands, in the interaction between teachers and students. A partir de la narrativa de experiencias vividas en la Universidad Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), se ilustra cómo el dinamismo del momento que llamó a (re)pensar la función social de la universidad e impuso la necesidad de adoptar nuevas reflexiones y estrategias para el continuidad y/o reorientación del trabajo para responder a demandas de proporciones pandémicas, entre la interacción de docentes y alumnos.
