Introduction: Triage is an important link in treating critical patients, but during the COVID-19 pandemic, triage is not only to select and sort patients from emergency status, but to avoid a surge in patients from the limited hospital capacity and medical personnel. The experience of emergency room nurses is needed to formulate a nursing service strategy. The purpose of this study was to explore the experience of nurses in carrying out management of triage (client priority classification system based on the severity of the client's condition or the emergency that requires immediate action) in the Emergency Room (ER) during COVID-19 pandemic in Medan. Methods: The type of research used in this studied was qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Sampling used purposive sampling technique with the number of participants as many as 10 people. Data collection was done through in- depth interviews. The process of data analysis in this studied used Colaizzi's approach of content analysis. Results: The results of the study found four main themes that describe the experience of nurses in carrying out triage management during the COVID-19 pandemic. The themes that emerged as a result of the research were: 1) Triage management during Covid pandemic, 2) Individual perceptions of infection/contagion Triage, 3) The burden of the triage nurses' during Covid pandemic, and 4) Nurses’ gratitude. Conclusion: The experience of nurses in conducting triage management during the COVID-19 pandemic was focused on initial screening, namely the assessment of acute respiratory infections (ARI), contact history and a history of indications for COVID-19. Then secondary triage was sorting patients based on emergency conditions. The use of personal protective equipment still did not meet the standards, the workload of nurses was high and there was gratitude by them for being at the forefront of handling COVID-19.
Tuberculosis is still a health problem both in Indonesian and in the world and is the leading cause of death. DOTS strategy is the tuberculosis control program. This program carried out by the health center Helvetia and the expeted number of patients with tuberculosis decreased. Quality of service is a form of activity undertaken by health services such a service, processes, and environment that meet or exceed expectations. The Satisfaction of a judgment given when the patients gets care. This study aims to determine the relationship of quality health Tuberculosis DOTS treatment strategy. The type of research used in this study is an analytic correlation using cross sectional method, samples in this study were patients who underwent Tuberculosis DOTS treatment strategy. The samples of the study was 48 respondents choose by consecutive sampling. Data were analysis of health care quality relationship with the level of satisfaction obtained significant value p = 0,003 and the value of r = 0,423. Then there is a relationship between the quality of health services with the level of satisfaction. It is advisable to further improve nursing services in order to increase the comfort and the health of patient.
ABSTRAK Mutu pelayanan keperawatan merupakan faktor yang paling penting untuk membentuk kepercayaan pasien kepada layanan keperawatan sehingga tercipta loyalitas dan kepuasan pelanggan. World Health Organization (WHO) menyatakan bahwa 76,68% perawat di Indonesia memiliki sikap yang ramah terhadap pasien seperti komunikasi efektif, rasa empati perilaku caring. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan tipe kepribadian dan motivasi kerja perawat dengan mutu pelayanan keperawatan. Desain penelitian analitik korelasi. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling dari jumlah total populasi 275 responden dan diperoleh jumlah sampel 73 responden. Analisa data menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariat dengan uji spearman rank. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tipe kepribadian introvet perawat mayoritas sebanyak 52.1%, motivasi kerja perawat lemah sebanyak 68.5%, dan mutu pelayanan keperawatan kurang baik sebanyak 58.9%. Hasil uji statistik spearman rank didapatkan nilai p value sebesar 0,001 artinya ada hubungan antara tipe kepribadian dengan mutu pelayanan dengan nilai r 0.769 yang artinya ada hubungan yang sangat kuat antara tipe kepribadian dengan mutu pelayanan. Hasil uji statistik spearman rank didapatkan nilai p value sebesar 0,038 artinya ada hubungan antara motivasi kerja perawat dengan mutu pelayanan keperawatan dengan nilai r 0.698 yang artinya ada hubungan yang kuat antara motivasi kerja perawat dengan mutu pelayanan. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between personality type and work motivation of nurses with the quality of nursing services. Correlation analytic research design. Sampling in this study used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique from a total population of 275 respondents and obtained a sample of 73 respondents. The results showed that the majority of nurses' introverted personality types were 52.1%, nurses' work motivation was weak as much as 68.5%, and the quality of nursing services was not good as much as 58.9%. Spearman rank statistical test results obtained a p value of 0.001 meaning that there is a relationship between personality type and service quality with an r value of 0.769 which means there is a very strong relationship between personality type and service quality. Spearman rank statistical test results obtained a p value of 0.038 which means that there is a relationship between the work motivation of nurses and the quality of nursing services with an r value of 0.698 which means that there is a strong relationship between the work motivation of nurses and the quality of service. The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between personality type and work motivation with the quality of nursing service.
Kondisi gawat darurat dapat terjadi akibat dari trauma atau non trauma yang mengakibatkan henti nafas, henti jantung, kerusakan organ serta perdarahan. Kegawatdaruratan bisa terjadi pada siapa saja dan dimana saja, biasanya berlangsung secara cepat dan tiba-tiba sehingga tak seorangpun yang dapat memprediksikan. Dengan pemahaman yang utuh tentang konsep dasar gawat darurat, maka angka kematian dan kecacatan dapat ditekan serendah mungkin. Salah satu bentuk pertolongan medik yang perlu dimiliki adalah Bantuan Hidup Dasar. SMK Kesehatan Sentra Medika Johor berdasarkan peta geografis bahwa sekolah tersebut berada didaerah jalan protokol yang memungkinkan banyak terjadinya kasus kecelaakaan. Kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa SMK Kesehatan Sentra Medika Medan Johor untuk melakukan simulasi pelaksanaan bantuan hidup dasar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMK Kesehatan Sentra Medika Medan Johor. Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 45 orang dan mereka sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan simulasi pelaksanaan bantuan hidup dasar ini. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa/siswi sebelum dilakukan simulasi BHD mayoritas pengetahuan nya adalah kurang, yaitu sebesar 55,5%, pengetahuan siswa/siswi sesudah dilakukan simulasi BHD mayoritas pengetahuan nya adalah Baik, yaitu sebesar 77,8%, keterampilan siswa/siswi sebelum dilakukan simulasi BHD mayoritas keterampilan nya adalah kurang, yaitu sebesar 71,1%. Diharapkan pihak pengelola SMK Kesehatan Sentra Medika Johor melakukan perencanaan pelatihan BHD secara rutin, menyediakan alat dan bahan seperti pantom RJP Bayi, Anak dan Dewasa untuk digunakan siswa praktik tindakan BHD agar dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa dalam memberikan BHD pada pasien/korban kondisi darurat.
ABSTRAKPendahuluan. Penatalaksanaan keberhasilan TB paru dapat dilihat dengan melakukan evaluasi hasil pengobatan. Evaluasi keberhasilan pengobatan fase intensif dilihat dan evaluasi bakteriologis yaitu terjadinya konversi BTA (+) menjadi BTA (-). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh efek samping obat dan status gizi terhadap kegagalan konversi BTA. Metode. Jenis penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan case control, yang dilakukan di Balai Pengobatan Paru Kota Medan. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari populasi kasus yaitu pasien yang mengalami kegagalan konversi BTA (+) dan populasi kontrol yaitu pasien yang mengalami konversi BTA (-) setelah menjalani pengobatan fase intensif. Sampel pada kelompok kasus sebanyak 32 kasus dan sampel pada kelompok kontrol sebanyak 64 kasus. Data dianalisis dengan uji ChiSquare. Hasil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel efek samping obat dan status gizi berpengaruh secara signifi kan terhadap kegagalan konversi BTA dengan nilai (p=0,022) dan (p=0,041). Diskusi. Perlu ditingkatkan kemampuan petugas kesehatan dalam melakukan tatalaksana efek samping obat dengan disediakannya sediaan obat agar efek samping yang terjadi tidak mengakibatkan berhentinya penderita untuk minum obat.Kata Kunci : Efek samping obat, status gizi, konversi BTA ABSTRACT Introduction.
