The outcomes of tourism in relation to the environmental sustainability is to preserve nature, environment, and resources availablity. Therefore, the obligation to maintain sustainability of environmental are become a top agenda for the managers of the star-rated hotels. In line with this spirit the high growth of hotel and tourist arrival in Bali correlated with the high of resources use to meet the demand of hotel guests, it will affect to the environment of hotel and the environmental of Bali. This study surveyed 126 star hotels in Bali (which consists of four (4) one-star hotels, ten (10) two-star hotels, thirty-nine (39) three-star hotels, twenty-four (24) four-star hotels, and forty-nine (49) five star hotels, using a questionnaire, where the alternative answer used the seven (7) options, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and structural equation modelling (SEM). This study successfully established a significant model that describes the relationship between environmental issues, environmental management processes, and the benefits of environmental management processes in star rated hotels in Bali. Also the results of this research demonstrate that: 1. There is a significant relationship between environmental issues to the process of environmental management at star rated hotels in Bali, and 2. There is a significant relationship between the process of environmental management to the the benefits of environmental management processes of the star rated hotels in Bali. Furthermore, the issues of environment is consists of: a. The issue of pressure from tour operator, b. The issue of customer and tourists pressure, and c. The issue of climate change. Then the environmental management process of hotel consists of: a. The wastewater management process, b. The solid waste management processes, and c. The chemical management processes, and finally the benefits of environmental management processes in star hotels are consists of: a. The sustaining the hospitality industry, b. The contribution to community development, and c. The satisfaction of the guests at star rated hotels in Bali. In accordance with these results is it suggested that every hotels are encouraged to do the process of environmental management because through this process, hotel will have a better relationship with the community, it had the preferred of tourists trend, it had became more prudent in term of resources use as a sustainable environmental efforts, and finally these can contribute to preserving the assets of the world for future generations.
The Risk Analysis of Zallaca Organic Farming in Sibetan Village Subdistrict Bebandem Karangasem Regency Sibetan village is a development center of zallaca organic farming in subdistrict Bebandem, Karangasem regency. The problems that have been faced by zallaca organic farming like a fluctuation of production and commodity prices, thus indicating the risk that must be faced by the farmers related to production and the selling price of the commodity in the market. If production and price has a risk, it will affect to the farmers income. This study aimed to analyze factors that affect the income of farmers in zalacca organic farming, analyze the production risk, price risk and income with a risk. The research method used quantitative analysis.The result showed the factors that affect the farmers income of zallaca organic farming in Sibetan Village are the land area. The research shows the average farming costs incurred by Rp 2.784.050,78 farming per hectare, while the average total revenue obtained by Rp 9.493.215,20 per hectare, thus obtained the average income of zallaca organic by Rp 6.709.164,27 per hectare. The coefficient variation in production is 0,50 which means the production of zalacca organic in Sibetan village has a low risk, the value of the coefficient variation in price is 0,11, which means the price or organic zallaca commodity in Sibetan village has a low risk, and the coefficient variation income is 0,55 means that farm income zalacca organic at Sibetan village has a low risk.
This study aims to determine the impact of tourism on the growth of the agricultural sector, and labor productivity in the agricultural sector. This research was conducted in Bali Province because Bali played a major role in creating the image of Indonesian tourism at national and international levels. This study uses secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of the Bali Province. To answer the purpose of this study the data were analyzed descriptively and the Panel Data Regression. The province of Bali has always had a GRDP growth above the national level because tourism has a role as a locative economic development. The structure of the Balinese economy has different characteristics from other regions in Indonesia. The excellence of the tourism industry has given its color to the economy in Bali. With the increasing economy, the contribution of the agricultural sector to GRDP has declined, but its role in absorbing labor is still quite large. The results showed that the development of the tourism sector in Bali could increase the growth of the agricultural sector and increase labor productivity in the agricultural sector significantly.
