Objetivo Conhecer e analisar a produção científica no período de 2005 à 2016 em relação cuidados paliativos e a importância da comunicação na estratégia dos cuidados paliativos. Método: Esta pesquisa possui características descritivas, exploratórias com abordagem quantitativa, realizado pelo método da revisão integrativa. Resultados: A partir da leitura dos 14 artigos, os artigos foram agrupados observando-se a temática em questão e, assim obteve-se a seguinte categorização: Cuidados Paliativos e a Relação interpessoal do enfermeiro e do paciente; Comunicação como estratégia para fortalecimento do vinculo entre enfermeiro e o usuário dos Cuidados Paliativos; A importância da comunicação do enfermeiro e o familiar/cuidador. Conclusão: O enfermeiro tem um papel fundamental para a promoção do CP, como na aceitação do diagnostico e auxilio para conviver com a doença, prestando assistência integral ao usuário e a todos envolvidos com o doente.

The objective was to know the difficulties and facilities of nurses in adhering to self-care in relation to the risks of accidents at work. Qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, conducted at a University Hospital in southern Brazil. Method: Data collection was performed in July 2018, through semi-structured interview. Data analysis took place through thematic analysis. Results: Regarding the difficulties, the participants highlighted the lack of time during the assistance, high demand from users, procedures, lack of awareness among professionals, the inappropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment, among others. Regarding facilities, they reported the availability of Personal Protective Equipment. Conclusion: it is highlighted that it is necessary to reflect on the subject, on the part of all involved in the assistance, because it is understood that the risks exist and their prevention needs to be encouraged through continuous education.

Objective: To analyze the occupational risks that interfere in the health and quality of life of nurses and users and the preventive actions developed by this professional in their daily work, in the hospital environment.Method: Exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, carried out with 13 nurses from a University Hospital in the south of Rio Grande do Sul. For data collection, a semi-structured interview guide was used. The data were recorded, transcribed and analyzed through thematic analysis. Results: The most prominent accident risks in the nurse's work were those directly related to user care. The most evident ones were biological, ergonomic and psychological. Conclusion: In the prevention of health risks in the hospital environment, it is necessary to emphasize educational actions of a permanent nature, in order to make it possible to recognize situations that cause risk and learn preventive actions. It is emphasized that the adoption of safe behaviors, anchored in biosafety measures they are fundamental strategies in the prevention and promotion of the health of workers, users and family members in the hospital environment.

Objective: to identify the elements of moral sensitivity held by nurses working in a medical clinic unit. Method: this exploratory-descriptive study with a qualitative approach addressed 18 nurses from a medical clinic of a university hospital located in southern Brazil using semi-structured interviews, which were analyzed using discursive textual analysis. Results: data were structured into six categories: relational orientation; experiencing moral dilemmas; following rules; benevolent motivation; structuring moral meaning; and autonomy. These categories enabled the identification of important elements of moral sensitivity, such as acknowledging the ethical dimension of one’s attitudes, acknowledging the uniqueness of each patient, dealing with conflict between workers and patients and/or their companions, adapting to the workplace, empathy, dialogue, clinical decision-making, meeting the needs of patients, understanding patients’ health condition, respect, welcoming patients’ desires and providing guidance that concerns patients’ requests and refusals. Conclusion: the elements of moral sensitivity identified in this study contribute to support nurses when making clinical decisions, especially when facing ethical issues arising in a medical clinic setting.

RESUMO Objetivo: analisar associações entre sofrimento moral e problemas éticos vivenciados por enfermeiros durante à COVID-19. Método: estudo quantitativo, transversal, realizado com 101 enfermeiros atuantes em hospitais universitários entre março e maio de 2022, por meio de questões sociolaborais, implicações éticas que levam ao sofrimento moral e do Ethical Problems Experienced By Nurses In Emergency Questionnaire adaptado e validado para brasileiros. Empregou-se estatística descritiva, ANOVA, Qui-quadrado de Pearson e regressão linear múltipla, e adotou-se p<0,05. Resultados: os 09 elementos atribuídos às implicações éticas foram classificados com algum grau de importância para o sofrimento moral, apresentando maior média nos seguintes itens: sinto compromisso, responsabilidade e obrigação moral em prestar cuidados à população infectada (4,26) e possuo conhecimento ou experiência para atuar na linha de frente à COVID-19 (3,44). A associação do sofrimento moral aos problemas éticos demonstrou que os indivíduos que atribuíram alta importância às implicações éticas também apresentavam problemas éticos em nível moderado/alto, ressaltando maior média nas questões de “cuidado ao paciente” (4,07). Evidenciou-se que o sofrimento moral dos participantes foi mais afetado pelos seguintes construtos: “percepção das medidas hospitalares contra a COVID-19” (p=,000), “problemas éticos no atendimento a pacientes” (p=,000) e “percepção da estigmatização social” (p=,000). Conclusão: ao relacionar os problemas éticos ao sofrimento moral, foi possível evidenciar que a COVID-19 gerou uma mudança abrupta na rotina de trabalho dos enfermeiros, o que dificulta a tomada de decisão adequada diante situações que envolve questões além do cuidado, mas também em nível profissional e organizacional levando a vivência de sofrimento moral.
