Objective: to describe the changes implemented in the work environment of nurses in university hospitals considering the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: this qualitative and descriptive research was developed from an online survey with 75 nurses from three Brazilian university hospitals. Data processing occurred through textual analysis with the aid of software IRAMUTEQ. Results: five semantic classes were obtained: Organization of units for exclusive care of patients with COVID-19; Adaptations in the use of personal protective equipment; Physical structure adaptation; Care flow institution; Increased number of beds and training courses. Final considerations: the results show the effort of healthcare and nursing professionals/managers in the development of structural adaptations and reorganizations of care processes, in the hospital context, to respond with quality and efficiency to the demands arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Objetivo Conhecer e analisar a produção científica no período de 2005 à 2016 em relação cuidados paliativos e a importância da comunicação na estratégia dos cuidados paliativos. Método: Esta pesquisa possui características descritivas, exploratórias com abordagem quantitativa, realizado pelo método da revisão integrativa. Resultados: A partir da leitura dos 14 artigos, os artigos foram agrupados observando-se a temática em questão e, assim obteve-se a seguinte categorização: Cuidados Paliativos e a Relação interpessoal do enfermeiro e do paciente; Comunicação como estratégia para fortalecimento do vinculo entre enfermeiro e o usuário dos Cuidados Paliativos; A importância da comunicação do enfermeiro e o familiar/cuidador. Conclusão: O enfermeiro tem um papel fundamental para a promoção do CP, como na aceitação do diagnostico e auxilio para conviver com a doença, prestando assistência integral ao usuário e a todos envolvidos com o doente.
The objective was to know the difficulties and facilities of nurses in adhering to self-care in relation to the risks of accidents at work. Qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, conducted at a University Hospital in southern Brazil. Method: Data collection was performed in July 2018, through semi-structured interview. Data analysis took place through thematic analysis. Results: Regarding the difficulties, the participants highlighted the lack of time during the assistance, high demand from users, procedures, lack of awareness among professionals, the inappropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment, among others. Regarding facilities, they reported the availability of Personal Protective Equipment. Conclusion: it is highlighted that it is necessary to reflect on the subject, on the part of all involved in the assistance, because it is understood that the risks exist and their prevention needs to be encouraged through continuous education.
Objetiva-se conhecer a produção científica publicada no período de 2004 a 2015, a respeito dos cuidados do enfermeiro ao usuário do Sistema Único de Saúde nas modalidades de atenção domiciliar. Método: Revisão integrativa realizada via online na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde na base de dados da Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online e Banco de dados da Enfermagem. Resultados e discussão: A amostra constituiu-se de 38 artigos científicos completos e gratuitos. Observa-se que o enfermeiro atuante no serviço domiciliar é capaz de participar e contribuir no desenvolvimento de ações de promoção, prevenção e recuperação da saúde dos usuários. Conclusão: Conclui-se que novos estudos são necessários, pois existe um movimento tendente a estimular a organização de arranjos estruturais de atenção à saúde, que necessitam de aprofundamento e adaptação para atender atuais as necessidades da modalidade de atendimento domiciliar.
Objective: To analyze the occupational risks that interfere in the health and quality of life of nurses and users and the preventive actions developed by this professional in their daily work, in the hospital environment.Method: Exploratory and descriptive study, with a qualitative approach, carried out with 13 nurses from a University Hospital in the south of Rio Grande do Sul. For data collection, a semi-structured interview guide was used. The data were recorded, transcribed and analyzed through thematic analysis. Results: The most prominent accident risks in the nurse's work were those directly related to user care. The most evident ones were biological, ergonomic and psychological. Conclusion: In the prevention of health risks in the hospital environment, it is necessary to emphasize educational actions of a permanent nature, in order to make it possible to recognize situations that cause risk and learn preventive actions. It is emphasized that the adoption of safe behaviors, anchored in biosafety measures they are fundamental strategies in the prevention and promotion of the health of workers, users and family members in the hospital environment.
