The objective of this study was to examine the role of Industry 4.0 in the sustainable supply chain (SSC). The relationship between Industry 4.0, data storage, data assessment, performance evaluation, data inquiry and SSC were examined. To achieve the study objective, the mediation effect of data storage, data assessment, performance evaluation and data inquiry between Industry 4.0 and SSC was examined. Employees of textile companies were selected for data collection in Indonesia. Results of the study highlighted that Industry 4.0 had a significant positive effect on SSC. Better implementation of Industry 4.0 showed a positive effect on SSC. In addition to this, Industry 4.0 had a positive effect on data storage, data assessment, performance evaluation and data inquiry. Finally, data storage, data assessment, performance evaluation and data inquiry had a positive effect on SSC.
The performance plays a key role in the long-term survival of the organizations. If the performance of the organization increases, then the organization may lead in the global perspective. There are various factors that could lead to the performance. Among those, the supply chain management practices (SCMP) play an important role to increase the performance. The SCMP factors may also enhance the competitive advantage of the organizations. Furthermore, the manager support may provide insight to manage the SCM activities which could aid enhance firm performance (FP). Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the SCMP and FP with the moderating and mediating effect in the chemical industry of Thailand. The data was collected from the supply chain managers by using a simple random technique. The SEM direct effect shows that SCMA had a significant and positive connection with firm performance FP. In addition, SCMP does not seem to have any significant relationship with the competitive advantage. While competitive advantage has a positive and significant effect on FP. On the other hand, the indirect effect shows that SCMP and FP relationship were partially mediated from the competitive advantage. Moreover, the manager's support did not significantly moderate the SCMP and FP relationship. The current study added literature in the extant literature in the form of empirical findings which could help the researchers explore their studies in future. The study may also provide help to owners as well as to shareholders to know about the importance of the SCMP, competitive advantage and managers' support to increase their FP.
The objective of this study is to examine the role of employee communication skills in sustainable export performance. Furthermore, this study also examined the mediating role of client understanding, client satisfaction and client attraction. Therefore, the relationship between employee communication skills, client understanding, client satisfaction, attraction and sustainable export performance was examined. Population of the study is logistic companies of Thailand. The logistic company employees involved in export activities were selected as respondents. Therefore, data were collected from the export related employees of Thai logistic companies. Finally, data were analyzed and found that communication skills are playing a major role in export performance. Export performance is majorly influenced by the communication skills of employees working in logistic companies. Furthermore, communication skills have a positive role in client understanding. Client understanding has a positive effect on client satisfaction and client attraction. This whole mechanism increases the sustainable export performance.
