The study aims to analyse the impact of the implementation of field studies in enhancing the problem-analysis skills and problem solving problems of sociology students in IISIP Yapis Biak. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation methods. The data are analyzed by using data reduction, data feed and conclusion withdrawal. The results showed that the implementation of field studies in lecturing was able to provide students with the ability to analyse problems and even solve problems. The evidence showed when students did assegnment to observe a problem in order to be analyzed and solved and the result showed they did with a good solving. Therefore, the students did not only accept the theory but also be able to apply it to the real situationals.
Realitas sosial selalu tidak lepas dari konflik dan ketegangan relasi sosial. Tulisan ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dua studi kasus, yaitu kehidupan sosial masyarakat Poso pasca konflik dan relasi sosial antar etnik di Biak Papua yang diteliti secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa masyarakat Poso faktual masih terikat oleh ingatan konflik dimasa lalu yang menghambat proses damai sejati. Sedangkan relasi sosial antara etnik pribumi dengan etnik pendatang ditanah Biak Papua turut mengalami ketegangan sosial akibat dari kompetisi ekonomi sehingga mematikan nilai-nilai kooperatif. Disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat Indonesia rentan mengalami keretakan yang berakibat pada kehancuran modal sosial kepercayaan (trust). Disarankan pentingnya revitalisasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal serta dukungan kebijakan tata kelola konflik yang inheren.
Public health services are one of the elements of welfare that must be fullfilled by the government. The low quality of services provided by service providers such as hospitals is a social condition that poses a serious threat and must be anticipated as a form of improving service patterns. This study aims to analyze the quality of health services. The method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The primary data was collected through observation and interviews. Secondary data obtained through the study of documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model. The results showed that the still a gap between patient assessment and the provision of services provided by the service provider, including service procedures and health facilities such as inadequate facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, various strategies are needed as steps to improve the quality of health care programs.
The success of the principal in the school is based on how far his leadership style can create the art of leading, to be able to transform individuals to achieve goals. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, which aims to analyze the integration of transformational leadership and the application of multicultural education at SMK YAPIS Biak, Papua. The results show that in realizing multicultural education at YAPIS Biak Vocational School, the leader applies leadership characteristics, namely challenging the process, inspiring a shared vision, enabling others to act, modeling the way, and encouraging the heart. In addition, leaders at SMK YAPIS Biak also apply a personal approach that can shape the behavior and character of the majority and minority students so that they are willing to recognize and respect diversity.
