This study aimed to examine the effect of partial replacement of commercial ration with fermented coconut meal with effective microorganism-4 (EM-4) on the carcass weight of broilers. This study used 100 chicks aged 3 days old. The design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 kinds of treatment of rations containing 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20% coconut meal fermented with EM-4 under four replications. Chickens reared for 4 weeks and at the end of the study two chickens were taken from each unit of the cage to cut and the carcas were analyzed. Parameters observed were feed intake, slaughter weight, and percentage of carcas. The data were processed using analysis of variance with Duncan's advanced test. The results showed that the use of coconut meal fermented with EM-4 in the ration of broiler was significant (P <0,05) in reducing feed intake and slaughter weight but it had no significant effect (P> 0,05) on the percentage of carcass weight. It was concluded that the use of coconut meal fermented with EM-4 in broiler rations may be used only to the extent of 15%.
This research aims at meauring the use of Sengon leaves soaked in kapur tohor and it's effect on the performance of broiler. The Study used 100 broiler Hubber aged 3 days and 5 treatments ration which contain different Sengon. The design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatmen. Parameter measured were ration consumption, body weight gain, feed convertion and carcass. The result of this study shows that the use of sengon in the ration is effective significantly (P<0.05) on the ration consumtion, body weight gain,carcass and feed convertion. It could be concluded that Sengon can be used up to 7.5% in the ration of the broiler.
Abstract The aim of the service activity was to develop the economy of Nyoga Community through the cultivation of integrated fish broiler.Due to the successfulness of the previous service program in year 2017 concerning the cultivation of Tilafia and catfish with farmer group (Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUBE)) Mina Jaya dan Harapan Makmur in Nyogan village, the next program was to tried to apply the cultivation program of integrated fish and broiler by participation method from all of members of KUBE. Like previous program, the method was to involve all the group member of KUBE. Group member prepared the chicken pen above the fish pond and service team from University of Jambi granted the breed of fish and chicken. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi hasil tangkapan dengan menggunakan alat tangkap belat di Perairan Kelurahan Tanjung Solok Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan Juni – Juli 2021. Metode yang digunakan selama penelitian adalah metode survei, dengan pengamatan langsung ke lapangan dan melakukan wawancara dengan nelayan dan mencatat komposisi ikan yang tertangkap dengan alat tangkap belat. Metode Pengambilan sampel adalah sensus, terhadap 8 orang nelayan yang menggunakan alat tangkap belat. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan setiap hari selama 10 kali penangkapan. Parameter fisik dan kimia perairan yang diukur meliputi suhu, pH, kedalaman, kecepatan arus, salinitas. Hasil tangkapan belat di Perairan Kelurahan Tanjung Solok yaitu ikan gulama, ikan belanak, ikan sembilang, ikan, udang kapur, udang belang, udang agogo, kepiting belang, belut laut, ikan buntal. Komposisi hasil tangkapan alat tangkap belat berjumlah 80,701 ekor dan berat 3.724 kg. Persentasi tertinggi terdapat pada ikan gulama (Johnius trachycephalus) yaitu dengan nilai 45,32 %, sedangkan persentasi terendah terdapat pada belut (Gymnothorax dorsalis) yaitu 0,04%.
