This research aims to improve the creativity skill of children at early age through play by using plasticine in the group of B2 at TK IT Salsabila Samarinda. The type of the research is classroom action research with three cycles. The aspects assessed on the children’s creativity skill are fluency, originality, flexibility and detail. The result of the classroom action research shows an improvement on the children’s creativity skill through plasticine media during the pre-cycle, cycle I, cycle II, and clycle III. The children’s creativity skill on the pre-cycle is 9% with undeveloped or poor category and 27% on the cycle I with undeveloped or poor category. Then, on the cycle II it increases to 47% with developing or fair category and on the cycle III it becomes 93% with well-developed or very good category. It shows that play by using plasticine can improve the creativity of children at early age.
This study aims to analyze and understand the learning management system in learning effectively through a seamless learning approach at Islamic Elementary School Nurul Anwar. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. The data collection technique is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis was carried out through the stages of data display, data reduction, and concluding. The results of the study indicate that learning system management through a seamless learning approach at SD Islam Nurul Anwar in making learning effective is carried out; 1) User-friendly, 2) User Interface, 3) Parental involvement, 4) learning with an online learning system, outside the network (luring), and mobile teachers (guling). This research has implications for the importance of teachers in utilizing various existing and available resources to make their learning effective as optimally as possible.
Multicultural education is the process of character formation for respecting and valuing different groups such as ethnicity, culture, language, race, and skin color because human nature is created for mutual recognition. The purpose of this research is to explore the school principal strategies in promoting multicultural education at one of the Islamic high schools in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research employed a case study design with a qualitative approach. Direct observation was done to make sure the implementation of multicultural education in the process of teaching and learning in classrooms. Additionally, in-depth interview was conducted with three types of school elements including the school principal, four vice principals, and two representative teachers to figure out their perspectives towards the implementation of multicultural education so far at their school as well as figure out the strategies used by the school principal. Document analysis was also utilized in order to make sure the reflection of multicultural education values on the teaching materials used by teachers in class. The results showed that the school principal apply contribution and enrichment strategies in applying multicultural education at school. It was discovered that multicultural education was reflected in all three aspects, i.e., teaching materials, students’ activities, and the teaching and learning process. The research novelty and future implications of this study are further discussed in this article.
During the pandemic, learning has been disrupted into learning that is not limited by the partition, both class and time barriers. This disruption requires teaching staff, especially language teachers to be agile in playing the role of teaching staff who are adaptive to change. The innovations made are related to how to implement language learning strategies based on virtual learning environments such as the zoom meeting application. The offer of features and simplicity in using the application makes teachers make it a top choice. Therefore, this study aims to uncover outstanding strategies in language learning with a zoom application. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study. This research site is Islamic University, in the area of Tapal Kuda, East Java, Indonesia. The results showed that, outstanding strategies in language learning by using the zoom application were carried out by collect information about student conditions, provide instructions for using the media, modifying the language learning goals, applying self-directed learning, and providing independent learning instructions through the share screen feature.
Having a specific excellence that is different to other educational institutions can be an attractiveness of madrasah. This excellence needs to be managed properly to attract societies and as one of benchmarks of educational institution qualities. Educational institutions in East Kalimantan such as MAN 2 Samarinda, MAN 2 Samarinda, MAN 2 Kutai Kertanegara, and MAN Balikpapan have implemented strategic management in managing their excellence. This research aimed to find out the excellence of each madrasah and strategic management to manage the excellence in MA in East Kalimantan. This is Field work Research with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentations. Data analysis techniques used a qualitative analysis technique consisting of data reduction, data model (data display), and conclusing drawing/verification. Based on data, the strategic management considering the madrasah excellence in East Kalimantan is as following: 1) Skill Program based Madrasah has an excellence in the curriculum contents as elective programs for students such as culinary art skills, fashion (sewing skills), light vehicle automotive, computer science, and welding skills. The strategic management implemented is cooperative strategy to build cooperation with and credibility from business field and industry, 2) Religious Program based Madrasah has an excellence in academic by strengthening religious matters, sciences and technology, foreign languages and yellow book. The forms of strategic management used are cooperative strategy and competitive strategy, 3) Excellent Program based Madrasah has an excellence in the students’ achievements from extracurricular activities, particularly martial arts and scientific writing competition. The forms of strategic management are the combination of cooperative strategy and competitive strategy, 4) Regular Program based Madrasah has excellent achievements in scientific writing competition and Syiar Anak Negeri program. The strategic management developed is professional extracurricular coaching by implementing strategic management of cooperative and competitive.
