The latest ‘freedom to learn’ policy, issued by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, must be implemented by educational institutions at various levels. The principals played significant roles such as community empowerment to utilize all resources in the schools to support the policy. The research aimed to describe the principals’ efforts in improving community participation in the school and to describe the social involvement in facilitating the freedom to learn at schools. This study employed a qualitative approach with a multi-case research design, and it was conducted in Indonesia, particularly in Tana Tidung Regency in North Kalimantan, Bondowoso Regency in East Java, and Malang City in East Java. The data collection techniques included in-depth interviews and document studies, and to validate the data used a credibility technique. The data validation through the credibility technique was carried out by conducting triangulation, checking members, and improving the persistence and adequacy of reference materials. The cross-case data analysis in this study applied a constant comparative method. The analysis was conducted in all three cases resulted in the provisional findings, continued by data comparison that would later be found by the three cases. The results of this research were the principals’ efforts in enhancing community participation through cooperation with several related parties. The principals were regarded as role models in supporting the ‘freedom to learn’ policy and building cooperation with related partners. The kind of community participation varied based on the uniqueness of each region.
This study aims to analyze quantitatively the factors that affect the career planning of students in the Industrial 4.0 era. A sample of 381 students was taken using a proportional random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the SEM technique with the help of the SEM AMOS 24.0 program. The results show that career center management, entrepreneurship personality, family environment, entrepreneurship education, and entrepreneurship intention contributed both directly and indirectly to student career planning in the Industry 4.0 era, both partially and simultaneously. The results also indicate that entrepreneurship personality is the variable that has the most significant contribution to encouraging students' intention to have a career as an entrepreneur. The research contribution shows that providing appropriate entrepreneurship education, supporting the performance of career center management, strengthening the entrepreneurship personality, and strengthening the role of the family environment, increases student intention in planning careers as entrepreneurs in the 4.0 industrial era.
Policy in the midst of covid-19 pandemic pressure, with the implementation of health protocols certainly makes access to services to students limited. This can be used as an effort for service organizers to maximize services by switching to an online system. The objectives in this study are to know the level of readiness of employees' digital competencies, their influence on the quality of technology-assisted services and the satisfaction of students in the education administration department of the faculty of education of unfortunate public universities, which is pursued quantitatively. A total of 152 students were taken using purposive random sampling techniques. Data is analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques and path analysis with the help of SPSS 24.0 and SEM AMOS 24 applications. The results showed the level of readiness of digital competencies of employees, the quality of service, and student satisfaction are in the category very well, there is a direct influence of employee digital competency readiness on the quality of technology-assisted services, there is a direct influence on the quality of technology-assisted services on student satisfaction, the readiness of employees' digital competencies has a direct and indirect influence on student satisfaction through the quality of technology-assisted services.
Layanan pendidikan diukur melalui kualitas pendidikan yang diselenggara-kan di sekolah. Kualitas mutu sekolah dijabarkan pada program-program pembelajaran yang menjadi brand untuk ditawarkan kepada masyarakat sebagai pengguna jasa layanan pendidikan yang diberikan oleh sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di sekolah melalui program-program ung-gulan sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Kristen Kalam Kudus Surakarta yang menerapkan program unggulan berbasis kerohanian, pem-belajaran, dan life skill atau kecakapan hidup. Metode penelitian adalah kualitatif, penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara kepala sekolah dan guru, kemudian pengamatan langsung atau observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Kemudian data yang diperoleh dikumpulkan dan dicatat dalam bentuk catatan lapangan dan transkrip wawancara sebelum direduksi dan disajikan. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan bahwa program unggulan sekolah dapat memberikan dampak pada peningkatan mutu pendidikan. The quality of schools is described in learning programs that become brands to be offered to the community as users of educational services provided by schools. This study aims to describe the principal's strategy in improving the quality of education in schools through excellent programs in schools. This research was conducted at the Kalam Kudus Christian High School Surakarta which implemented a superior program based on spirituality, learning, and life skills. The research method is qualitative, research is conducted by interviewing principals and teachers, then direct observation or observation, and documentation studies. Then the data obtained is collected and recorded in the form of field notes and interview transcripts before they are reduced and presented. The results of the study found that the school leading programs have an impact on improving the quality of education.
