Character is one of the big problems faced by Indonesia because currently Indonesia is considered experiencing moral degradation. Therefore, character education should be applied in every level of education to improve the morale of students. Character education needs to be done because (1) decline in family function, (2) the worsening morale of the young generation, (3) the declining value of ethics. With this in mind, the application of character education to Indonesian subjects is very relevant and strategic to do because Indonesian is a compulsory course that must be followed by all students. Implementation of character education in Indonesian subjects is conducted in an integrated manner in the planning, implementation, and assessment of learning. Character education is expected to shape the character of the students so that universities not only produce graduates who excel in terms of cognition, but also in terms of behavior.
This study aims to develop an audiobook for learning listening to students. This research was conducted using the Borg & Gall development method, with several adjustments for research needs. The research stages carried out were (1) preliminary studies, (2) planning, (3) product development, (4) product validation, (5) first stage revision, (6) product testing, (7) second stage revision, and (8) dissemination. Some innovations are integrated into this book that was developed. This innovation is in the form of integrating theory and lis-tening to various types of texts, from conversational texts to narrative texts. The product developed is listening courseware, which is present-ed in a flash application. The results showed that the products devel-oped were in accordance with the student needs and could increase student independence. The results of validation tests and trials show that the product developed is feasible to be implemented with an aver-age percentage of the assessment results of 90.71%.
This study aims to develop an Android-based Indonesian dictionary for the blind. This study was developed using the Borg & Gall development model with some adjustments to the needs of this study. The stages of product development are (1) preliminary studies, (2) planning, (3) product development, (4) product validation, (5) first phase revision, (6) trials, (7) second phase revision, and (8) dissemination. The product developed is an android-based dictionary application with voice input and output. This developed product has been validated and tested on a small scale. Validation is carried out for material expert validators, media experts, and practitioners; while small-scale trials were conducted on 5 people with visual impairments. The results of product validation and trial show that the product developed is feasible to be implemented with an average percentage rating of 91.93%. The product developed provides benefits to the blind, which makes it easier to understand the meaning of words in the dictionary and increases the independence of the blind.
This study aims at describing the appropriate and correct use of prepositions in elementary school students' composition. The design of this study is qualitative research combined with formal approaches for students in grade 3, 4, 5 and 6. The results of the study indicate that (1) there is a preposition used in all grades; (2) there are some prepositions used in certain grade; (3) some preposition functions are found in all grades; and (4) some preposition functions are found in certain grades.
