This qualitative research aims to analyze students' cognitive structure of acid base topics through flowmap methods use Learning Cycle 8E model. The subjects of this study were 36 students of XI MIA 4 SMA N 54 Jakarta. Data were collected through achievement test, interview, flowmap, class observation, reflective journal and students' worksheet. The results showed that students build their cognitive structure based on students' understanding and experience. Learning Cycle 8E model has had an impact on the development of students' cognitive structure and softskill. Based on the results of the study, it is seen that percentage of students who experienced misconception decreased and the percentage of students who understand increased. This proves that Learning Cycle 8E model can overcome student misconception. Learning Cycle 8E model also affects the development of student softskill. Based on the results of the research, it was found that students' have applied the attitude of respecting and appreciating when dealing with differences of opinion.
AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia FMIPA UNJ dengan tujuan menganalisis penguasaan konsep ikatan kimia pada mata kuliah kimia organik. Metode penelitian adalah metode deskriptif, subjek penelitian mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia yang mengambil mata kuliah kimia organik I pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2010/2011. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen two tier untuk menganalisis penguasaan konsep mahasiswa pada ikatan kimia dan tes materi kimia organik menggunakan tes essai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan konsep mahasiswa pada materi ikatan kimia masih rendah, sekitar 28,50% mahasiswa yang memahami konsep ikatan kimia, 31,50% yang mengalami miskonsepsi, dan mengalami kesulitan sekitar 40%. Pemberian pemantapan setelah menganalisis penguasaan pada materi ikatan kimia membantu dosen dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pembelajaran kimia organik yang efektif.Kata kunci : Ikatan kimia, instrumen two tier Abstract The research was performed at Chemical Education FMIPA UNJ. Penelitian ini terfokus pada analisis Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) calon guru kimia menggunakan CoRe (Content Representation) Framework dan strategi metakognitif pada mata kuliah Telaah Kurikulum Kimia. PCK merupakan representasi gabungan antara isi materi pelajaran dan pedagogik yang dimilik oleh guru sehingga siswa tertarik dan mudah untuk memahami suatu materi (Shulman, 1987). Oleh karena itu, CoRe framework dan strategi metakognitif pada penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengembangkan penguasaan konsep kimia dan cara menyampaikan konsep tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan studi interpretif kualitatif hingga menghasilkan profil PCK calon-calon guru kimia terkait dengan penguasaan konsep-konsep kimia. Data diperoleh dari rubrik PCK, MAIT (Metacogitive Awareness Inventory for Teachers), wawancara, observasi, nilai tes konsep, dan kertas refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat PCK calon-calon guru kimia tergolong tinggi. Terlihat bahwa Content Knowledge (CK) yang mereka miliki sedikit lebih tinggi daripada Pedagogical Knowledge (PK). Hasil MAIT (Metacogitive Awareness Inventory for Teachers) juga menunjukkan bahwa calon-calon guru tersebut memiliki kesadaran metakognitif yang sangat tinggi sehingga mereka mengetahui kelemahan dan kekuatannya sendiri dalam mengajar. AbstrakPengobatan secara biokimia adalah sistem pengobatan secara alamiah yaitu sistem pengobatan sel-sel tubuh dengan menggunakan garam-garam anorganik yang terdapat dalam darah dan jaringan. Garam anorganik ini atau dapat menyembuhkan berbagai macam penyakit walaupun garam ini dalam tubuh terdapat dalam jumlah yang sangat kecil, tetapi sangat diperlukan sebagai bahan aktif untuk membangun bejuta-juta sel.
