Good learning process must contain interactive, fun, motivating aspects and provide more space for students. Need to be considered in the selection of media, among others, learning objectives, effective, easy to obtain learners, usage is not stiff, cost, and quality. One of the recent developments in learning media is the learning media using Virtual Reality. Virtual Reality is an application where users will experience the artificial world based on its original form. This research aims to produce learning Virtual Reality media learning in the material of fiber optic splicing and termination in Informatics Education Study Program. This research is a development study using 4D model consisting of 4 stages: (1) define; (2) design; (3) develop; and (4) disseminate. Testing in this study involved material experts, media experts, individuals (3 students), small groups (9 students), and large groups (22 students). Testing result by expert in course reached 75% (media). Testing result by media expert validation reached 97.5% (very valid). Individual trial results with a percentage of 84.17% (valid). Small group trial results with a percentage of 83.33% (valid). Large group trial results with a percentage of 84.55% (valid). From the testing results it could be concluded the learning media very proper to implement in learning.
AbstractTwitter growth and utilization encourage the emergence of limitless textual information so that people can express their complaints easily This leads the Directorate General of Taxation uses twitter to deal with tax complaints faced by the community. However, the messages on twitter can contain any information, either the tax complaint or not. This will cause difficulties in handling complaints process. It is important to automatically identify so tax complaint handling can be done effectively and efficiently. Given these problems, it is necessary to do the twitter tax complaint classification with the support of text mining. There are several methods of classification such as Naïve Bayes classifiers, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Decision Tree. This research aims to classify the tax complaint on twitter automatically by using text mining. The experimental results show the value of f-measure of SVM, Naïve Bayes and Decision Tree, respectively, are 89.3%, 85.6% and 76.9%.
Tests are used to determine a person’s level of understanding of a subject. The inhibiting factors in tests are less varied questions, questions with insufficient difficulty, subjective assessments, and the length of time in their correction. This research aimed to develop a Computer Based Test (CBT) application. The type of questions in this CBT are multiple choice and essays. This CBT employs categorization of questions, randomization of the questions, and automatic assessment. Questions were categorized manually based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of a lecture. Then the randomization process was carried out using the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm for each question category. The Smith Waterman algorithm was used to automatically assess the essay-type questions. The steps of the Smith Waterman algorithm were preprocessing, data comparison using Smith Waterman, and percentage similarities conversion to test scores. The results of the study showed that the CBT application was able to randomize questions using the Fisher-Yates Shuffle algorithm and automatically assess answers using the Smith Waterman algorithm. RMSE was used to measure of the accuracy of the Smith Waterman algorithm: a value of 1.86 was obtained. Keywords: Computer based test, assessment, Fisher-Yates Shuffle, Smith Waterman
