Suatu instansi tidak terlepas dari peranan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang bekerja di dalamnya. Kualitas sumber daya manusia merupakan salah satu faktor untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kinerja suatu instansi. Oleh karena itu, suatu instansi perlu melakukan penilaian kinerja pegawai untuk mengetahui keberhasilan atau ketidakberhasilan dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Permasalahan yang terjadi di RSUD Serang yaitu proses penilaian yang dilakukan masih menggunakan cara manual sehingga proses penilaian kinerja pegawai menjadi lambat dan tidak akurat. Dalam penilaian kinerja pegawai masih bersifat subjektif. Belum adanya program aplikasi dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan dan pihak rumah sakit kesulitan dalam menentukan prestasi kinerja pegawai. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis merancang sistem pendukung keputusan penilaian kinerja pegawai menggunakan Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP) di RSUD Serang. Metode Analitycal Hierarchy Process (AHP) adalah suatu model pengambilan keputusan yang komprehensif dan terstruktur. Sistem ini dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic 6.0 dan SQLyog sebagai database. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dibangun mampu memberikan hasil perhitungan secara otomatis sesuai dengan hasil perhitungan yang dilakukan secara manual. Diharapkan dengan sistem yang dirancang dapat membantu pengambil keputusan yang bersifat objektif dan pada proses penilaian kinerja pegawai yang lebih efisien.
The performance of teachers in realizing holistic education can be observed from how the teachers prepare, implement, and evaluate the learning process or their pedagogic knowledge. This study aims to examine the teachers’ ability to plan, implement and evaluate to assess their performance in the elementary school learning process based on tenure and gender. This research is a quantitative study with direct observation, which was conducted on 162 elementary school teachers from 30 public elementary schools in Semarang, Indonesia. Data were collected using assessment sheets. The observer was the principal which belonged to the same school as the respondent. The data were then validated using Pearson's correlation based on group tenure and gender. The instrument was analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) and showed that the imposition of the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was achieved more than a critical value of .50 which meant that the construct was valid and reliable. The understanding on teachers’ performance was indicated by teachers’ activities in preparing their class. This study found that there was no significant correlation between teachers’ performance and teaching experience or that and gender.
This article mainly investigated the perceptions of undergraduate students from the Department of Islamic Broadcasting Communication at State Islamic Institute of Kudus to the use of YouTube as project-based learning to foster speaking proficiency in broadcasting. The study was conducted as qualitative research and data were collected through the administration of a 15item questionnaire to the students relating the perception of YouTube project in enhancing their speaking proficiency in broadcasting. The result revealed that majority of the students agreed that YouTube project can facilitate the use of English based on their positive attitudes towards its use and high percentages of the perceptions that it can foster speaking of the language. Furthermore, YouTube encourages them to be more confident when speaking English and also has the ability to support their appearance or performance when broadcasting. It is, therefore, important for lecturers to design English speaking skills integrated into course materials through the use of modern technology.
In the context of higher education, corrective feedback plays a crucial part in academic writing. This paper, therefore, aims to explore the role of corrective feedback on the academic writing performance of EFL students at State Islamic Institute of Kudus. The study employed a qualitative research. In order to gather data, the writer interviewed the students about the perception of the use corrective feedback in enhancing their performance in academic writing. In addition, observation and documentation were conducted to get detail information. The result showed that corrective feedback including the aspects of providing and receiving feedback has led to better improvement in students’ academic writing performance. Indeed, they become more confident in performing their academic writing task. Further, through corrective feedback, students are highly pursued to give more comments regarding the performance of their peers in academic writing. In addition, lecturers merely give clarifications towards the corrective feedbacks in academic writing class by provoking question and answer to promote the students’ critical thinking skills.
