Pancasila education has been a part of general education which plays an important role in transferring and nurturing values that are in line with the nation's personality. This study aims to describe the implementation of Pancasila Education through field work learning model by looking at the practice of Pancasila values in the real community life in Pancasila Village, Bantul Regency. This research is a descriptive qualitative study through a case study in Pancasila Village. The subjects of the study were the first semester students of Communication Science department at one of the state universities in Yogyakarta who are taking the Pancasila Education course. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study. The data in this study were collected through interview, observation, and documentation, while the data analysis was done through qualitative descriptive techniques. The findings showed that the students gained a great deal of meaningful experiences from the field work learning model through direct observation of the Pancasila values implementation in the community. Another important finding is that the students can identify the implementation of the values of the Pancasila, either the first, second, third, fourth, or fifth precepts in Pancasila Village.
Indonesia has a geographically vast area which results various daily ways of life and living habits that shapes culture and custom diversity. Indonesia consists of thousands of developing customs and tribes. The diversity of local customs and cultures in society contributes to social interaction among one tribe to another. The purpose of this study is to describe the cultural diversity found in the Dayak and Banjar tribes of Borneo. Each tribe has a unique culture with its own distinct as an identity to keep its existence, such as the cultural diversity of Dayak and Banjar tribes in Borneo that can affect relationships between the two tribes. The article used literary methods by collecting relevant reference sources from books, journals, researches, and other resources. The results show that diversity can cause conflict, even though conflict have occurred, it does not mean that the Dayak and Banjar tribes are intolerant. Each tribe has a strong culture and mutual cooperation to protect unity. They live on the same island with mutual respect and they respect cultural diversity. The interaction between the Dayak and Banjar tribes that appreciate each other's customs and cultures preserve the culture itself. The customs and cultures that developed in the Dayak and Banjar tribes serve as a source of harmony, with an understanding that they came from the same ancestors, and the awareness that they have a brotherly relationship contributes to values of trust, tolerance, and mutual cooperation between the tribes.
Pendidikan dan filsafat tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dengan yang lainnya. Filsafat bagi pendidikan berperan sebagai pedoman yang memberikan arahan dan tujuan pendidikan. Sedangkan pendidikan bagi filsafat merupakan suatu ‘ruang’ yang selalu memberinya tempat untuk hidup dan terus berkembang melalui kegiatan-kegiatan teoritis maupun praktis dalam pendidikan. Filsafat eksistensialisme Jean Paul Sartre dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pijakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Menurut Sartre, manusia adalah individu yang bebas. Namun kebebasan yang dimilikinya selalu terbatasi dengan fakta akan adanya kebebasan individu lain. Manusia adalah bebas untuk melakukan dan mendefinisikan dirinya sendiri secara individual. Manusia tidak lain adalah bagaimana ia menjadikan dirinya sendiri. Belajar adalah menjadikan dirinya sendiri otonom dan menyadari adanya orang lain sehingga dapat menciptakan dunianya sendiri yang berarti bagi dirinya dan bagi kehidupan orang lain atau lingkungannya. Namun demikian, kita tetap harus selektif terhadap pemikiran Sartre tentang peniadaan Tuhan. Dalam merumuskan konsep kebebasan individu, Sartre mengasumsikan bahwa tanpa bantuan Tuhan, manusia dapat bebas mendefinisikan dirinya sendiri untuk mencapai tujuan hidupnya. Pandangan ini jelas bertentangan dengan falsafah dasar negara kita yaitu Pancasila sila Ketuhanan Yang Maha Esa.
This article aims to discuss the role of kiai in building voter participation. The method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection using observation, interviews, and observations. Analysis uses an interactive model. The results of the study show that scholars have 3 (three) roles in politics, namely as political political patrons, political elites, and political mediators. Kiai as political patrons become a reference in making political choices. Kiai are active political elites in the management of political parties and mass mobilization. Kiai as political mediators mediate in political conflicts.
