Women’s representation in leadership positions is still low because there is still an opinion that women are not worthy of being leaders and only men are worthy of being leaders. This condition proves women’s low participation in leadership roles because the patriarchal culture still strongly influences people’s perspective. This paper aims to describe the roles and positions of women in school management. The research data are in the form of observations and interviews with female school principals and four male vice principals. The qualitative method with a gender perspective is used to identify women’s leadership style in Elementary School 002, Muara Badak District. The results showed that the principal in Muara Badak District prefers masculine characters and maintains a feminine character. It has an impact on assertiveness in controlling the school management process. Second, in carrying out school management functions, the principal’s leadership style applies a democratic leadership style. As a leader, participation seeks to provide trust and establish good communication by prioritising teamwork in decision-making. Keywords: Women’s leadership, school management, gender perspective.
<p>Background The phenomenon of women working outside the home is no longer a foreign of conversation. Objective The purpose of this research is to describe the struggle of the female head of the house to survive to support the family. Methods This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research data is in the form of observations and interviews with 10 female heads of households who live in Samarinda City. Results Based on the results of observations and interviews, economically the poverty that occurs in female heads of household is due to: a) There is no good management from the government related to human resources so that assistance does not run optimally. b) Lack of ownership of land assets, decent housing for families, salary erratic activities that interfere with the activities of women heads of households, c) The lack of working capital that is currently being carried out, economic activities are carried out with minimal capital, d) There are no business facilities, women heads of households only rely on capital assistance, and e) Economic efforts for survival has not been maximized and there is no good management from the government. Conclusion Female heads of households need not only capital intake but also assistance to improve life skills to create family resilience. Implication practice This research can be used as statistical data for female heads of households in formulating programs activities to alleviate poverty for female heads of households.</p>
<p>This scientific paper aims to identify and describe the values of Pancasila which are still implemented in the guidance phase for prisoners in the Class III Narcotics Penitentiary in Samarinda. Using research methods with this type of qualitative research approach description. The target data were obtained from primary data sources, namely, 9 respondents consisting of the Head of the Institute, Corrections (Kalapas), the Head of the Development Sub-Section, (Head of Development Sub-Section), Development Staff and Prisoners. Secondary data obtained directly, data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained are then collected and reduced, displayed then take conclusion action. The results showed that the values of Pancasila are applied in correctional institutions as a guide in the life of the nation and state. Especially the implementation of the second principle of Pancasila values, namely a just and civilized humanity. Fair and civilized human values are an achievement of the awareness of moral attitudes and human behavior based on individual human potential. As it ensures the stability of the necessities of life, the balance between personal life and life together. The values of tolerance, mutual respect, equality of rights and obligations, and cooperation contained in fair and civilized human values have been implemented even though their application is minimal in the field. It is necessary to increase implementation, especially in terms of carrying out the value of tolerance between religious communities, carrying out humanitarian activities, mutual respect, implementing justice for equality of rights and obligations, and establishing the value of cooperation without any basis for differences.</p>
<p>The purpose of this research is to examine the prevention of juvenile delinquency by the Department of Social Welfare in handling cases in Samarinda City. This type of qualitative descriptive research focuses on the empowerment and obstacles faced by the Office of Social Welfare. This research has been carried out from October to January 2022. The primary data sources are the head of the service, the head of the rehabilitation section for children and the elderly, social workers and counseling. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through reduction, display and conclusion. The validity of the data using data triangulation. The results of the study, adolescent empowerment will have implications in developing the mindset of youth independence so that they have the ability to work and gain experience. Barriers: on the financial aspect, human resources, shelter, the role of parents and public awareness. The practical implication is that this research can be piloted in a youth development social home in handling delinquency cases delegated from the Samarinda Class II Child Special Guidance Institute in Tenggarong.</p><p> </p>
The purpose of the study is to describe the function of supervision in the system of government in the region after the change to Law no. 23 of 2014 on the management of mineral and coal resources. The type of research used is normative legal research. With analytic descriptive type aimed at explaining about State Policy Function on supervision aspect by Inpektor Tambang for mineral and coal resource management. Data collection techniques through observation, interview and documentation. Analyzed by using a resistance that conveyed Miles and Huberman. The results and discussion on the function of government policy on the management of mineral resources and coal post in Law No. 23 of 2014 on local government in review of the supervision aspect is not running as expected in Law No. 4 of 2009 Mineral and Coal Mining. This is due to constraints with infrastructure and facilities in the form of budget, as well as instructions from the KPK and BPKP so that guidance and supervision runs on a budget basis, given the very challenging mining field.
