In most organisations, women are underrepresented in top positions. Many aspects of Women’s Leadership are studied in the literature for underrepresentation of women leaders. This study aims to analyse and consolidate the insights about those aspects of Women’s Leadership, which gives them a stable and secure position in the organisation, beyond the unseen walls of gender discrimination. These aspects are barriers, enablers, strengths and weaknesses of Women’s Leadership. The research method used for the study is a systematic literature review method. Peer-reviewed, scholarly journal articles and book references between 1990 and 2021 identified from the Scopus and Web of Sciences databases are considered for the study. The result showed much uniformity in the ‘Women’s Leadership’ phenomenon, globally. This research found that Women’s Leadership studies are mostly conducted in areas such as social sciences, business and management, medicine, education, etc. It also found that most women-leadership-related studies are conducted in developed countries where the percentage of women leaders is comparatively higher than in other industries. Still, women leaders in both developed and developing countries face similar barriers during their careers. The gender gap and the glass ceiling they have to break are some of the issues experienced by women in any organisation. Organisational bias, lack of assertiveness and poor networking also pose barriers to Women’s Leadership. Yet, there are some enablers for Women’s Leadership, such as mentoring, good training programmes and workplace culture. However, maintaining a work–life balance, working under pressure and excluding informal communication are considered as limitations for Women’s Leadership. Strengths, such as high emotional intelligence, empathy, democratic leadership style, sincerity and ability to make decisions under critical circumstances benefit the organisation. This study will help to get an integrated and consolidated theoretical review of different aspects of Women’s Leadership in the organisation. Moreover, the study can help to implement various organisational policies to increase the percentage of women in leadership roles.

ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the process of empowering the processing of bawis fish chips and the results of empowering housewives at the Abadi Rasa Home Industry, Gunung Telihan Village, Bontang City. This research uses a qualitative descriptive use of data carried out by observation methods, interviews, and documentation studies with the research subjects being the owners of the Abadi Rasa Home Industry and the mothers of members of the Abadi Rasa Home Industry. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data uses source tringulation and triangulation techniques. The results of the research in this study are the process of empowering housewives in the processing of bawis fish chips consisting of three stages, namely the awareness stage by means of socialization, the stage of knowledge transformation using training with a practical approach. ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pemberdayaan pengolahan keripik ikan bawis dan hasil dari pemberdayaan ibu rumah tangga pada Home Industry Abadi Rasa, Kelurahan Gunung Telihan Kota Bontang. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif penggunaan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi dengan subjek penelitian adalah pemilik Home Industry Abadi Rasa dan ibu-ibu anggota Home Industry Abadi Rasa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan tringulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah Proses pemberdayaan ibu rumah tangga dalam pengolahan keripik ikan bawis terdiri dari tiga tahapan yaitu tahap penyadaran dengan cara sosialisasi, tahap transformasi pengetahuan menggunakan pelatihan dengan pendekatan praktek. tahap pemandirian dengan pendampingan dan pemberian kuasa untuk mandiri.

A principal’s supervision competency affects the improvement in the teaching and learning process; therefore, it needs to be improved. This study aimed to describe the principal working group (PWG) activities and the principal’s supervision competencies after being assisted by school supervisor in the PWG at Sangkuang Island, East Kutai Regency. This research used a qualitative method and was conducted at state elementary schools. Data collection used interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data were analysed using Miles and Huberman’s model. The results showed that the PWG activities were effective and the principals could exchange ideas and solutions to solve school problems. The school supervisor’s assistance in the PWG activities increased the principal’s supervision competencies. The principals were able to plan supervision programmes properly, conduct standard supervision and implement follow-up supervision according to the needs. This study implies that a school supervisor’s assistance is important to improve the principal’s supervision competence and this can be adopted at other area.
