Many students are afraid to talk in public. The observation social science students of a Public High School (SMA) showed that 77.42% students were afraid to talk in public (glossophobia). This paper presents result of a research on a treatment using a self-instruction technique. The data of this research were collected by filing glossophobia questionnaire, in which the data were analyzed by nonparametric technique with Wilcoxon test level. The results of analyses showed that with n = 6, we found Table =-1 in which it was lower than α of 5% = 0. Scoring results showed that there was a reduction of mean score of pre-test and post-test from 162.17 to 150.33. Therefore H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The treatment using a group counseling by selfinstruction technique can reduce the level of glossophobia of students.
The background of this research is the discomfort feeling of some students during their communication with others since they have problems with their self confidence. This problem must be solved because it will make the students have difficulty in comunication in the future. Some techniques can be utilized for helping these studenta, one of them is a metaphor tehcnique. This paper presents the effectiveness of applying the metaphor technique in the form of healing stories to decrease the communication problems of students in the setting of counseling group design. One group pre-test and post-test design are used. Since the data is normally distributed, the technique for data analysis used in this research is a paired sample t test. Results of analysis show that there is a difference of communication apprehension level before and after the metaphor technique in the form of healing stories hasbeen applied. On the other words, the application of metaphor technique in the form of healing stories can decrease the level of communication apprehension of the students.
Learning Evaluation and monitoring are the soul of a learning process. They are vehicles used to improve the learning process. Institution Performance Education personnel are required to have international standards. One of the weapons that are used to compete is by applying the ISO 9001: 2015 standard. This study aims to evaluate the performance of lecturers, especially the learning process carried out by lecturers at the Faculty of Education. This study uses an analytical survey method. The instrument was developed by referring to ISO 9001: 2015. The subjects in this study were lecturers at the Faculty of Education. The study results found that the most findings were in the learning evaluation domain of 68%, 21% in learning planning, and 11% in the learning implementation domain. Several reasons led to the discovery. This data will be used as one of the reviews to follow up on learning in FIP.
Masa perkembangan siswa SMP memiliki berbagai macam dinamika, pengaruh dari teman sejawat, lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan sekolahan. Beberapa fenomena yang terjadi adalah timbulnya rasa cemas, stress, depresi dan gangguan mental lainnya, kondisi demikian lazim terjadi pada usia siswa SMP dehingga butuh diberikan edukasi dan pemahaman melalui layanan BK agar bisa diantisipasi dengan baik dan mencapai tahapan perkembangan dengan baik. Melihat kondisi tersebut maka guru BK perlu memperhatikan aspek psikologis siswa agar hal-hal negatif tidak sampai terjadi sehingga perlu diberikan edukasi tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental siswa. Konsep psychological well-being menjadi salah satu jalan keluar untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa betapa pentingnya memiliki kesehatan mental yang baik sehingga edukasi tentang psychological well-being siswa dirasa penting untuk diberikan kepada guru BK SMP di Sidoarjo Kata Kunci: Edukasi, program psychological well-being , Guru BK SMP
Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkankan kompetensi akademik dan kompetensi profesional guru Bimbingan dan Konseling tingkat SMP di Kota Mojokerto. Target yang adalah meningkatkanya pemahaman serta keterampilan memberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling di bidang karier terutama dalam hal mendampingi siswa dalam program perencanaan individual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan datanya adalah teknik wawancara dan angket terbuka. Subyek penelitian adalah 44 guru BK. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik prosentase. Kompetesi yang dilatihkan adalah softskills berupa pelayanan di bidang karier yag berorientasi pada pendekatan CIP..Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM adalah pelatihan kepada guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam waktu tertentu dengan menggunakan siklus Communication, Analysis, synthesis, Valuing, dan Execution (CASVE) berfungsi sebagai suatu basis untuk membantu para konseli dengan pengambilan keputusan. Hasil pelatihan dengan menggunakan instrument angket terbuka menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi guru Bimbingan dan Konseling sebesar 91%. Sedangkan untuk pelaksanaan pelatihan, pelatihan ini mendapatkan skor rata-rata 3,36 atau 84% atau masuk kategori sangat berguna dan 3,24 atau 81% memenuhi kriteria kepatutan. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan ketrampilan communication meningkat 88,24%, Analysis 85,29 %, synthesis 91,18%, Valuing 91,18%, dan Execution 94,12%.
