A lot of problems in pronunciation teaching remain unsolved after many years of efforts made by both teachers and researchers. This study is to research into the effectiveness of a comparatively new teaching mode-the flipped classroom-in the English pronunciation course. Mixed methods are adopted in this study in order to seek sufficient evidences for the effectiveness of the flipped classroom teaching mode. The students' final exam scores are compared with those of the students taught with the traditional teaching mode. And individual face-to-face interviews are carried out to investigate the students' attitudes towards the teaching modes. Finally, the conclusion is made that the flipped classroom mode is more effective than the traditional mode in pronunciation teaching.

To arouse rural primary school students' English learning interest, broaden their horizon and promote their critical thinking, we construct a series of digital education resources which include not only language points of phonetics, vocabulary, language skills of English teaching and learning but western and Chinese cultures. The results show teachers and students' roles and discourse power changed by using the digital education resources in the process of rural primary school English teaching and learning.

It compares the differences from the aspects of methods, contents, objectives and results of family education between China and America. Then, it analyses the reasons for the differences in family education. Finally, some suggestions for family education in China are provided.

Typical food plays a very important role in the spread of the Chinese culture. How to make foreign tourists understand food culture in Hebei and know the characteristics of food deserves consideration. The translator needs to pay attention to some strategies and methods in translation. This paper mainly introduces three methods of translating: free translation combining material and cooking technique, literal translation combining material and cooking technique, and transliteration according to Chinese pronunciation. The purpose of the author is to spread the local food culture by better translation.

Following the principles of rhetorical political approach and discourse-historic approach, this paper discusses the categories of how implicit hegemonic discourse (IHD) manipulators in contemporary China discursively justify their own special interests and mislead the dominated to "maintain consent" to the current hegemony pernicious to the future of Chinese civilization. And it is concluded that the collusion between corrupted officials, pirate businessmen and their patronized scholars is getting more and more solid and prominent. Therefore more hegemonic discourses would appear until an end is put by the practice of ruling the nation by law.
