This study seeks to determine the impact of elearning in education on students' learning outcome. We employ a quasi-experimental design in this study. The subject of this study consisted of students of Sport Science Faculty at State University of Medan. The independent variables in this study are e-learning using an Edmodo platform that serves to provide elearning materials and conventional learning method. The dependent variable is the students' learning outcome. The data of learning outcomes were analyzed using t-test. The results indicate that the learning outcomes of control class scored 74.31 at 9.47 standard deviation. As for the experimental class, the average score of learning outcomes was 83.56 at 8.26 standard deviation. Significant differences exist between the learning outcomes of experimental and control classes at a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the experimental class scored 9.25 higher than the control class. From this, it can be stated that students who use e-learning scored higher than those who use conventional approaches to learning. This research conclude that e-learning can have an impact on student learning outcomes.
This study aims to modify the basic motion-based big ball game with a play approach in order to develop basic movement skills and be developed as a guide for sports teachers and learning with game concepts. The resulting product is a CD and a good ball game manual with a playing approach. The research was developed by adapting the Gall, Gall, & Borg educational research and development model. The development procedure used includes several stages: 1) analyzing the content of the developed product, 2) developing the initial game product, 3) expert validation, 4) field testing, 5) product revision of the data analysis techniques used in this study in two ways, namely quantitative and qualitative.
Physical exercise with heavy and tiring intensity can cause the formation of free radicals and the potential for oxidative stress. This oxidative stress due to strenuous and exhausting physical exercise is a physiological process that can cause the immune system to become depressed or decrease immune function. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sports massage to prevent decreased immunity after sub maximal physical exercise. The study design was an experimental pre and post test group design. The subjects were 20 students from the Department of Sport Science, Universitas Negeri Medan, randomly divided into 2 groups, group 1: given submaximal physical exercise and without sports massage; Group 2: sub-maximal physical exercise and given a sports massage. The results showed that the values of leukocytes and lymphocytes in the sub-maximal exercise group given sports massage were lower than the sub-maximal physical exercise group and without sports massage (p <0.05). Sub maximal physical exercise accompanied by sports massage can prevent a decrease in immunity.
This study aims to determine the influence of achievement motivation and self-confidence on the achievement of North Sumatra Wushu Sanda Athletes in the North Sumatra Regional Championships. Subjects in this study were Wushu Sanda athletes who participated in the 2017 North Sumatra Regional Championship. The measuring instrument used in this study was the success of athletes reaching the final round, the scale of achievement motivation, and the scale of selfconfidence. Research Hypothesis: There is an influence of achievement motivation and self-confidence on athletes' achievements in the North Sumatra Wushu Sanda Regional Championship. The analysis used logistic regression. The results of the analysis show that the equation model can be accepted with the results of the Hosmer and Lemeshow Test of 0.920 (> 0.05). Nagelkerke R Square statistic of 0.201 shows the ability of achievement motivation and selfconfidence variables to explain athlete achievement by 20.1%. This means that there are other factors that can give more effect on the achievements of Wushu Sanda athletes who were not defined in this study. This might occur because of other psychological aspects that affect the match situation such as emotional regulation, strategy in dealing with opponents, concentration, and others. Thus it is recommended to conduct research with other psychological aspects to see the influence on achievement in the competition.
