Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk memperdalam fenomena sosial terkait persoalan toleransi agama, budaya dan peraan media. Saat ini eksistensi media baik cetak, elektronik, maupun media sosial dipandang perlu dijadikan pertimbangan kajian. Alasan mendasar adalah bahwa saat ini media merupakan bagian terpenting dalam mempublikasikan penanganan kasus perbedaan aliran, faham, dan gerakan sosial beragama di masyarakat, bahkan media umumnya dapat menggerakkan tatanan kehidupan masyarakat. Jadi kajian ini memiliki ruang lingkup yang cukup penting khususnya mengenai peran media dalam memublikasikan sila Ketuhanan dan Kemanusiaan dan praktek toleransi agama dan budaya. Media dalam hal ini dianggap sebagai bagian dari agen dan pengendali sosial khususnya dalam memberitakan atau menginformasikan nilai-nilai kebebasan dan perlindungan beragama di masyarakat.
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah turut serta memublikasikan keragaman budaya nusantara, sebagai model penyelenggaraan pendidikan karakter bagi anak dan remaja berbasis budaya kearifan lokal. Kajian ini menunjukkan melalui pesan moral seni tari perlu ditranformasikan dan diimplementasikan baik pada substansi maupun model pembelajaran yang mengakui dan menghormati keanekaragaman dan karakter budaya di masyarakat. Rumah Puspo Budaya Nusantara telah memiliki andil dalam mencerdasakan kehidupan bangsa melalui model pendidikan karakter anak dan remaja khususnya melalui ketrampilan seni tari nusantara. Hal ini terbukti melalui fasilitas yang dimiliki Rumah Puspo Budaya Nusantara senantiasa terbuka untuk umum bagi pegiat seni budaya. Eksistensi Rumah Puspo Budaya Nusantara melalui pendidikan informal maupun formal yang diselenggarakan dapat dikatakan mampu membentuk karakter anak dan remaja. Secara sadar maupun tidak sadar, pendidikan karakter mengacu pada; etika, moral, nilai, religius, budi pekerti, dan pendidikan karakter itu sendiri. Untuk itu, pendidikan baik formal, informal, dan non-formal pada hakekatnya memiliki dua tujuan, yaitu membantu manusia untuk menjadi cerdas dan pintar (smart), dan membantu menjadi manusia yang baik (good).Â
The aim of this article was developing learning material for Civic Engagement Education based on ecological and cultural wisdom. The object of the study was the Central Sangga Buana Karang farmer community. The theoretical approaches that are considered relevant are those that are anthropological, ecological, and biological in nature. The results of the study show that Jakarta, apart from being the center of the economy, politics-bureaucracy, education and culture, as well as the center for the development of science and technology, is generally also the center of urbanization from various motives and backgrounds (migration). As a result of migration and population development that is not in line with geographical conditions, environmental and demographic management are to be separate problems that cannot be resolved by DKI Jakarta Government. For instance, the rampant illegal settlements have caused damage and pollution to the environment. However, in the South Jakarta area, especially in the Pesanggrahan Karang Tengah River watershed, there was a protected urban forest area that has been successfully managed by Sangga Buana volunteers using an ecological and cultural wisdom approach. This community efforts can be developed as one of the study materials for Community Citizenship Education.
As an interactive media, a radio has social responsibility to the community on the understanding the policy of multicultural education from language diversity point of view. This study was to analyze the existence of radio as a type of electronic media that has a role and function as a medium of information, education, and entertainment for the community. We approached the study focus by using theory of multicultural education value, and supported by the theory of social media responsibility. The results of the study showed that Elsinta as one of the private radio stations in Indonesia through the broadcast content of RBI which had become a radio characteristic in presenting broadcast material that need to be used as a capital and model to develop multicultural communication education innovations. Therefore, to build a community perspective, it was necessary to be based on the value of the wisdom of the diversity of languages in Indonesia, packaged into learning materials for the community. This study contributes academically to the community as an effort to strengthen the value of the wisdom of language diversity.
<p><em>The content of television as a public media broadcasts generally present news or social reality eventsyet it seems to be appropriate that the content must be received wisely andcritically. Receiving information without discretion will create a wrong and misleading image of the world, including an overview of multicultural education. Currently, mass media has a significant potential to instill prejudice between religions, cultures, and so on. The media in this case also has social responsibility to the public about the issues of freedom and protection of multicultural educationunderstanding. Therefore to support the theoretical approachof this study, theory about value of multicultural education whichisreinforcedby theory of social media responsibility was taken into account. The results showed thatRagam Indonesia as one of the television programs in Indonesia (in Trans 7) has been presenting shows that could be used as a good start to develop innovations in multicultural communication education, given the impressions of the content in Ragam Indonesia including the aspects of life; economics, religion, tradition, as well as local identities that can be wrapped into national identities as learning material for students, college students, and society. This kind of publication is considered to be very urgent in order to build national identity.</em></p><strong>Key words: </strong><em>Inovation, Multicultural Education, Media, and National Identity</em>
