This research develops a model of characteristic training and character education management to produce academic, profession, and vocational (potential teacher and teacher) teachers who have superior competence in disseminating noble character of the nation. By using Researh & Development approach, this research uses Padepokan Character locus PPKn FIS Unnes Department. The subjects of the study were the newly graduated Unnes students, the young teachers in Semarang City and Central Java Province. The factual model of training management and the development of character education that runs so far contains weaknesses in various aspects, from planning, implementation, to evaluation of activities. On the basis of the analysis of a number of weaknesses of the factual model is then carried out the reconstruction of the conceptual model departs from the review of ethical factors and emotic factors. Conceptual model is then refined again by accommodating the results of focus group discussion with the stake holders and utilize the potential and resources owned by the character padepokan Unnes Political Education and Citizenship. This model has incorporated various aspects of the training, from the refinement of the factual model greed, the consideration of ethical factors and the emotional factors, as well as the aspirations and needs of the stake holders, so it is feasible to experiment in the wider domain.
The purpose of this research is to develop automotive Mechanical Technology Skill Program (TMO) in Vocational School. The Research and Development (R&D) object was done in SMK 1, 4 and 7 Semarang, Indonesia. The result was achieved productivity Practical Management Final Model at TMO skill Program in Vocational school named momanticproter. Momanticproter is an advanced study of functional planning management, action, and evaluation in man, money, method, material and minute aspects to productivity practical component including: practical document, material management, practical action, application method, media utilization, teacher competence and qualification management, job description management for teacher, ingredients and tools maintenance management, type management, ratio, and standard description of productivity practical means and infrastructure, and occupational health and safety system. The trial result limited by momanticproter having score result 3,69, and scope result having average score 3,49, so that productivity practical management model has a good category, and can be applied in SMK TMO skill program. Then momanticproter visibility study having average score 3,7 with very suit category. The momanticproter apply implication generally gives a chance to teachers, students to have integral understanding in practical material, and integrated productivity practical management. Especially for school administrator having implication to increase management ability both skill and managerial, for students having implication in motivation to optimize their potential because the practical evaluation does not only rest on an output but also influenced by process so that supporting the regularity of practical action and can encourage honesty, responsibility, working hard, and respecting others. The suggestion for school administrator is in order to: (a) getting stakeholder support, (b) increase teacher resource trough workshop and comparative study.
This study aimed to analyse the factual models of national character values, establish a hypothetical model, test the feasibility and describe the determinants of character development and multicultural education based on local wisdom. This research was conducted with a research and development approach. The subjects of this research consisted of students, principals and teachers, while additional information came from various documents and events. The data were collected in numerous ways, namely by observation, interview, documentation, focus group discussion and intake from practitioners and experts, as well as questionnaires. The data analysis was held interactively as the compiled data were assorted. The results of the study showed that the factual models of the national character values development was carried out by integrating the characters in the subjects based on the learning implementation plan, the implementation of which is reflected in the functions of planning, implementation and evaluation. The feasibility of the national character development model and multicultural education based on local wisdom needs to be handled in a neat manner by planning, organising, implementing and supervising them properly. The determinant of character development needs to be assessed by focusing on the content, direction, goals, functions and principles of multicultural education, as well as on the functions and benefits of local wisdom through the input–process–output system approach. This article has analyzed the value exchange-based learning model as an efforts to develop character values in students. The approach used a qualitative-quantitative mixed method. The qualitative approach used to synthesize the steps of the learning model. Whereas the quantitative approach used to test the model qualifications based on student responses and motivation. Research subjects were lecturers and students. Data collection done through interviews, observation, documentation, intake of experts and practitioners, focus group discussions, and questionnaires. Data analysis carried out interactively and descriptive statistics. The results of the analysis showed that the value exchange-based learning model carried out through elaboration steps in crisis situations of character values; classroom management and teaching materials (classical), exploration of character crisis situations; crisis solution of character (group) values; growth of character values; analysis, reflection repetition, and (classical) feedback. Forms of character that develop are democratic, nationalism; concern. compliance with rules; honesty; logical thinking, critical, creative, and innovative. Responding to model qualifications was very strong followed by very high student motivation.
Pentingnya kompetensi dalam menyusun karya tulis ilmiah bagi mahasiswa merupakan sebagai sarana menunjang prestasi mahasiswa di bidang akademik. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari pembina Karya Tulis Ilmiah yang ada di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Semarang masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum mampu untuk menyusun karya tulis ilmiah dengan baik. Selama ini masih kurang optimalnya Lembaga Kemahasiswaan dan Badan Semi Otonom bidang karya Ilmiah Fakultas Ilmu Sosial sebagai wadah dan menyalurkan ketrampilan mahasiswa dalam membuat karya tulis ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya program peningkatan kompetensi mahasiswa dalam pembuatan karya tulis Ilmiah khususnya dalam pendampingan dan penyaluran lomba yang mudah disosialisasika pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial.Tujuan program pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dalam membuat karya Tulis Ilmiah melalui pendampingan dan penyaluran ke event ilmiah guna mendukung tradisi berprestasi Universitas Negeri Semarang. Target khusus dalam program pengabdian ini yaitu dihasilkannya suatu kumpulan karya tulis ilmiah yang dihasilkan oleh mahasiswa, dalam pengabdian ini juga ditargetkan dapat menghasilkan modul langkah-langkah dalam pembuatan karya Tulis Ilmiah yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh mahasiswa maupun masyarakat luas yang ingin mengembangkan karya tulis Ilmiah. Metode pelaksanan kegiatan pengabdian ini disusun secara bertahap dengan menggunakan desain Project Based Learning (PBL). Pada kegiatan pengabdian ini, mitra (mahasiswa) diberikan proyek untuk membuat karya tulis dengan memilih tema yang sesuai keinginan. Setelah materi selesai disampaikan, langkah selanjutnya yaitu praktek membuat karya Ilmiah melalui pendampingan dan penyaluran ke lomba karya tulis Ilmiah sesuai buku panduan (modul) langkah-langkah pembuatan karya tulis Ilmiah yang sudah dirancang oleh tim pengabdian. Hasil akhir produk selanjutnya dikumpulkan menjadi satu. Produk dari pengabdian ini diantaranya yaitu sebuah artikel ilmiah yang akan di publikasikan di jurnal nasional (S3/S4/S5/S6) yakni di jurnal ABDI MAS UNNES (accepted), dan berita media massa cetak/elektronik.
