This study examined how student at UiTM Bandaraya Melaka perceived green practices. Convenient sample of 200 respondents were surveyed. Students have positive perception towards green and findings show there is no significant difference on perception and there is significant difference in doing green activity. Result indicated that “recycle paper” is the most chosen activity done by respondents whereas “attending green conference” is the least activity respondent chose to get involve. The implications of this study are useful to student’s association; university and environmental organization as a guideline to organize green activities and to motivate students participate actively in green practices.
With the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world today, higher education institutions need to change their teaching method from the physical classroom to the virtual. Some employees see this as an improvement opportunity, but some are not because WFH is never easy when they have a family. Women as academicians and mothers are perceived to carry it heavier because they must juggle work and family. The situation can add up to stressful events when managing classes online and children simultaneously at home. Demanding work and personal duty are challenging to balance. Hence, this preliminary study explores these women's needs, support systems and acceptance of converting physical office settings into WFH as a future practice. The given research follows a descriptive research design and quantitative approach to fulfill the study's principal objective. Quota sampling has been chosen in this study that comprises a sample size of 165 women academicians as mothers. These women academicians are married and single/divorced mothers with children below and above 18 years old. They are also working in Malaysian public universities regardless of academic positions and responsibilities. A structured and self-administered questionnaire-based survey was used for data collection from the participants. Based on the data collected, this research concludes that more than half of the respondents agree to have WFH as future practice with the capacity to WFH a few times a week.
This study explores the effect of job stress's factors, role ambiguity and time pressure on job performance among employees in one of the water supply services companies situated at Muar, Johor, Malaysia. Besides, this study also aims to examine the most influential predictor on job performance among the respective employees. The study chose 144 employees from the respective company conveniently to participate in this study. All questionnaires were returned with complete answers by the respondents. Data had been evaluated through three analyses: descriptive, correlation, and regression analysis using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results of the descriptive analysis indicated that the majority of the respondents were male, married and aged between 20 to 30 years old. Besides, most of the respondents have worked with the company for more than 15 years and SPM holders. Based on the correlation analysis, the finding discovered a positive and weak relationship between time pressure and job performance. Nevertheless, the result indicated that role ambiguity has a positive and strong relationship with job performance. Moreover, the study's findings based on regression analysis revealed that job stress factors had an influence of 55.9% on job performance. Another 44.1% was conceivably influenced by other variables that were not being studied. Furthermore, it also showed that role ambiguity is the most influenced factor of job stress on job performance. The finding of this study offers several significant insights and information for the company about the importance of job stress and its relationship with the employees' job performance.
Satisfaction is a universal concept that can be seen as important in marriage institution. In organization customer satisfaction, it is one of the main goals to be achieved; this could be similar in the marriage relationship whereby couples are searching for their marriage satisfaction. To achieve it, spouses need to have their own strategy and to work on it. Moreover, there are a few factors that determine satisfaction in marriage life. Previous research on the service dimension in marriage life has found the new perspective and similarity. Nowadays we can see the increase in the divorce rates and all parties should take it seriously so that it will not become a social problem in society. The main purpose of this study is to identify determinants of marriage satisfaction by implementing the customer service approach and focusing on customer satisfaction dimension towards marriage satisfaction. This research was conducted using a set of questionnaire to 190 married couples, whereby five Likert-scale questionnaires used as an instrument to gather the data. Majority respondent agreed that "reward" is the most factor dimension that influence on marriage satisfaction. In general, results indicate five dimensions that were correlated with marriage satisfaction, namely, reward, communication, behavior and responsiveness, activities and productivity. Married counselors and couples should be aware regarding this new perspective on customer service dimension so that improvement in marriage relationship can be achieved.
