This research aims to describe the application of formative tests on edmodo granting the student mathematics teacher education profession. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Data retrieval by way of observation, online tests and student response. The results of the research shows that with the application of the test for granting edmodo formative student PPG mathematics education is running very well and can be applied to the grant of formative tests. With Edmodo can easily see the results obtained by students, besides that with Edmodo can easily see the material that many students answered incorrectly and the settings for execution time can also be set. So that, with this time arrangement, the students will be able to manage the process of the question well. Edmodo also provides facilities to be able to randomize answers with questions in appearance, so that with the existence of the facility there is a possibility that between one student and another student gets the same problem but with a different number. The facility can also minimize students from working together. The implementation is also supported by several student responses. The results of student responses in the application of Edmodo for the provision of this formative test are very good.
The purpose of this study was to see students mistakes in solving story problems based on the Newman’s procedure. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The data retrieval technique is done through observation and testing. The results showed that the error in the skills process was 33% and the lowest error in the answer error was 8.2%. Errors caused by students who cannot read symbols, charts or charts, cannot solve problems properly, are wrong in solving steps and cannot be published or explained properly.
The current Covid-19 pandemic has severely impacted education where learning must be carried out online. Canvas is among polysynchronous e-learning platforms available. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of open-ended teaching materials through Canvas-assisted Polysynchronous Learning. This topic was chosen considering the importance teaching materials to support the implementation of Polysynchronous Learning. This study developed learning modules and power points as learning media, and Google form as evaluation media. Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. These materials were validated by material and media experts to measure their effectiveness. Results show that the teaching materials are valid and feasible. These teaching materials were implemented through a polysynchronous learning where student activities reached 89%. It is implied that these materials could enhance student learning. Students’ learning outcomes (final test) are categorized good with the average score of 80.8; the distribution of 44 points for A, 24 for B+, and 12 for B.
The purpose of this study was to find out how the student character values in learning activities carried out during the Pandemic. This research is quantitative descriptive. The data was taken using observation and questionnaires and then analyzed with quantitative methods and then described to see how the student's character was seen from the indicators of honesty, hard work, discipline, communicative and responsible. The results of the study indicate that the value of student character during online learning is seen in the indicators of responsibility and discipline. While the indicators of honesty, hard work and communicativeness do not seem to get good results.
