The library needs to know the kind of literature mostly read, and whether those literature are willable in the library. This matter will be used for adding the collection in order to meet the needs of the users. The research aims to discuss citation analysis of Literature Cited in Scription of Department of Cartography and Remote Sensing on the Faculty of Geography at Gadjah Mada University 2005. The purpose of the research is, to know the kind of literature cited in scription of the Department of Cartography and Remote Sensing on the Faculty of Geography, to find out the dominant literature cited, to identify the language literature cited, and to know the availability of the literature cited in library of Faculty of Geography. The subject of the research is the scription of the Department of Cartography and Remote Sensing on the Faculty of Geography. The object of research are all citations in references of the scriptions, numbering at 2554 citations. The method of the data collection used is citation analysis. The Analysis of data is based on the percentage provided on the table. The result shows that the kind of literature cited in the scription of the Department of Cartography and Remote Sensing on the Faculty of Geography 2005 is book 1686 citations (66%), scription 295 citations (11,56%), internet source 138 citations (5,41%), journal or magazine 115 citations (4,51%), thesis 95 citations (3,72%), paper 80 citations (3,14%), research report 51 citations (2%), proceeding 36 citations (1,42%), newspaper 26 citations (1,02%), disertation 18 citations (0,71%), field work report and pidato 13 citations (0,51%). It also describes that the literature in Indonesianlanguange had been more often cited than that in English. It is 1759 citations (68,9 %) versus 794 citations (31.1%). The last, the level of the avalibility of the literature cited is found that 71,68 % where available in the library and the other 28,32% where not available. This research aims to determine the implementation of fifth postulate of Ranganathan’s Law to library services in digital era. This research is library research with a qualitative approach. The data collection methods of this research is documentation techniques. Based on this research concluded that the implementation of the fifth postulate Ranganathan's law is divided into six elements of library services such as collections, facilities and infrastructure, library services, librarian, administration and management, and reinforcement components. The collection components consist of printed collections, the number of electronic collections, the percentage of fiction and non-fiction collections, the number of reference collections, the number of subscribed newspapers, the CD and DVD collections and the number of collection growth. Libraries are also supported by the facilities and infrastructure. Facilities and infrastructure are places or rooms and facilities owned by the library in order to provide services to library users. The librarian's current ability is to adapt to advances in information technology. Libraries must also continue to innovate so that they can improve library services. The amplifier component consists of library innovation and library leadership.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pendayagunaan arsip film melalui kegiatan pemutaran film keragaman lokal konten budaya Jawa DIY yang dilakukan oleh Grhatama Pustaka Balai Layanan Perpustakaan DPAD DIY. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi kepustakaan (library research). Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendayagunaan arsip film melalui kegiatan pemutaran film keragaman lokal konten budaya Jawa DIY pada Grhatama Pustaka memberikan pengaruh positif dalam melestarikan nilai budaya dan sejarah melalui film, perkenalan budaya dan sejarah dilakukan dengan cara yang cukup berbeda yaitu dari adanya film dokumenter. Hal itu tercermin dari sikap dan perilaku pemustaka yang memberikan feedback secara langsung, baik dari segi film yang menambah wawasan, pengetahuan baru perihal budaya, sejarah serta pariwisata yang telah terjadi yang mungkin belum familiar bagi para pemustaka, dan adanya komentar terkait durasi film yang dirasa singkat sehingga menjadi ketertarikan tersendiri bagi pemustaka untuk ingin menonton film dokumenter lainnya serta statistik pengunjung yang menyaksikan pemutaran film dokumenter kian naik dan bertambah. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan lebih memperbanyak koleksi film dokumenter lainnya, sehingga film lama tidak hanya sekedar menjadi arsip saja tapi dapat didayagunakan kembali sehingga kebermanfaatannya terasa, dan diharapkan untuk lebih mempromosikan, memperkenalkan kegiatan pemutaran film, semakin memperluas jaringan kerjasama agar dapat menjalin hubungan dengan pihak-pihak tertentu terkait pemutaran film dokumenter, agar karya yang dihasilkan jangka waktu penggunaan atau pemanfaatannya dapat dirasakan lebih lama dan dijangkau oleh lebih banyak orang lagi terutama generasi berikutnya di masa depan.
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengembangan model perpustakaan madrasah dalam penerapan literasi informasi untuk mempersiapkan belajar sepanjang hayat dan mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan belajar sepanjang hayat bagi para pemustaka. Metode penelitian ini adalah R&D dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sampel sumber data dilakukan dengan cara purposive dan snowball, pengumpulan data digunakan metode triangulasi dan analisis datanya bersifat kualitatif dengan melakukan FGD. Proses analisis datanya menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman dengan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian pengembangan model perpustakaan madrasah ini terlihat dalam enam tahap (Task Definiton, Information Seeking, Location and access, Use of Information, Syntesis dan Evaluation) yang diimplementasi di dalam RPP untuk bidang studi terkait (Bahasa Indonesia, Biologi, Fiqih dan PPMB) dengan pengembangan layanan perpustakaan yang berbasis kepada pemustaka. Model perpustakaan yang “literate” terhadap informasi dapat menjadikan siswa menyenangi belajar, mengetahui bagaimana sejatinya cara belajar itu, menghargai bahwa belajar itu, rasa ingin tahu terhadap sesuatu menjadikan sikap “self directing” dalam belajar.
The objective of the study is to evaluate the use of collection by using citation analysis to know the pattern of use of literature by the students of IAIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogtakarta in writing their theses based on kinds, languages, and literature which were dominantly quoted, to know the use of collection and the collection availability. The used methodologt in this research were descriptive statistical research which took all of IAIN Sunan Kalijaga students'theses collections in 2000 comprising 445 theses. Then, their bibliographies were taken and resulted in 11.058 quotes. Those theses represented five faculties. The analysis was presented in the form ofdata tabulation, percentage and frequency tables. The results showed that the pattern of use of literature in the theses based on the kinds of quoted literatures were books, they were 10133 times quoted (92%); magazines,journals and newspapers were 925 times (8%).Based on the languages, the compositions were Indonesian 8420 quoted (77%); Arabic 2263 (20%); English 375 (3%). Based on the titles, the results were that the students quoted the titles evenly and vary. It started from quoted frequencies far 196 (l.8%), 112 (1.0%),81( 0.7%), to the frequencyo of once quotation. The use level of collection by the students was high. It was based on the result of questionnaires which were based on the literature titles resulted in the evenly spread collection. The percentages vary. They were 1.8%, 1.0%, 0.7%, and 0.6% to 0.0%. The students complete their theses used the collection in the library of IAIN Sunan Kalijaga. Based on the collection availabitity, the conclusion was that the library provided 99.98 % of the needed collection. The variety of collection has to be increased in the future and in order to make the use of journal to be more effective, to develop Arabic language collection. Therefore, it needs to develop Arabic language collection. Emphasizing the ability in reading foreign literature, mainly in Arabic could increase the use of Arabic and English collections by the library user It was suggested that to get more accurqte view, this data has to be developed in the following studies, such as by comparing the literature circulation data. This study is expected to be a starting study for the next studies on the productivity of the writer and the old fashioned literature because it still needs subsequent study for the sake of the library collection development.
