Stunting is a condition where the children have short stature caused by chronic malnutrition. Stunting could interfere with physical development and affects low intelligence levels. Based on basic health research data in 2019,the stunting rate in Indonesia reached 27.6%. WHOs' The WHO targeted stunting rate should be under 20%. In 2019, Tegal city had 830 children aged 0-5 years with stunting,and for the Margadana regency,there were 80 toddlers. This study aimed to determine the correlation of responsive feeding behavior and the incidence of stunting. This study was an observational study with a case-control design,with a ratio of 1:1. The population of this research was mothers who have toddlers aged 6-36 months. The sample was 28 respondents divided into two groups. Subjects who entered the stunting group had a PB/U z-score<-2 SD,and subjects in the normal group had a PB/U-2SDz-score to 2SD. Data collection through interviews was to assess Knowledge,Attitudes,and Responsive Feeding Behavior and analyze the correlation with stunting and assessing the amount of risk for each variable. The data analyzed using Chi-Square on the study results show a relationship between knowledge,attitudes,and responsive feeding behavior with stunting. Based on the risk factor for lack of knowledge,the risk is 6.2 times greater for children experiencing stunting and unfavorable attitudes, 6.6 times greater risk for stunting children. At the same time, good behavior has a lower risk of 0.15 children experiencing stunting. It is hoped that toddlers' mothers can improve responsive feeding knowledge,attitudes,and behaviors so that toddlers' nutritional needs will be even better.
The most teenage girl experienced dysmenorrhea during their period (67.2%) and premenstrual syndrome (63.1%). Semarang District Health Office in 2013 reported as many as 50-80% of adolescents aged 12-19 years who experience dysmenorrhea overcome it pharmacologically and nonpharmacologically. Acupressure was one of non-pharmacology which could be an alternative for reducing dysmenorrhea. This aim of this study was to analyze the influence of acupressure in reducing dysmenorrhea. This study used quasi-experiment with pre-test and post-test approached. The respondent of this study was teenage girls with dysmenorrhea and obtained 23 respondent. First, respondents asked about their level of pain. Then respondents received 30 rounds acupressure at points Li 4 and Lr 3 for 3-5 minutes 3 times. Then re-evaluated the intensity of menstrual pains after the intervention finished. Data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney Test. The result of this study is that most of the respondent have mild pain level (52.2%). After acupressure, complaints of pain decreased, where 47.8% did not feel pain. Based on statistical tests, the p-value of 0.001 obtained means that the provision of acupressure interventions has a significant effect on decreasing the level of dysmenorrhea in adolescent girls. The conclusion is that acupressure used as an alternative in treating dysmenorrhea.
COVID-19 has developed into a pandemic and the transmission chart of this new type of disease has ups and downs from day today. The duration of handling COVID-19 is related to the public's level of awareness and knowledge about COVID-19 and its prevention procedures. The level of public awareness and knowledge cannot be separated from socio-demographic factors. This study aims to analyze whether there is a relationship between socio-demography and the level of public knowledge about COVID-19. This study is a cross-sectional study, with a total sample size of 313. The subjects of this study were the people of Tegal City with a minimum age of 18 years. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that most of the respondents' knowledge level was at a sufficient level (71.25%). This study also shows that there is no relationship between gender and age with the level of knowledge (p-value 0.184 & 0.147), while between education and work and the level of knowledge (p-value 0.000 & 0.009). The level of public knowledge is still at the intermediate level, so health promotion activities are needed to raise awareness about COVID-19.
AbstrakAir Susu Ibu berperan penting dalam proses tumbuh kembang fisik dan mental anak namun berbagai kendala dapat timbul dalam upaya memberikan ASI secara eksklusif seperti kesehatan ibu, bekerja di luar rumah dan bayi rewel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh ulfa menunjukkan hasil pengetahuan ibu tentang ASI perah masih kurang namun setelah dilakukan proses pendampingan selama 6 bulan, dimana ibu diajarkan cara mendapatkan ASI perah hal ini sangat membantu ibu dalam mencapai keberhasilan pemberian ASI secara ekslusif, hal ini tentunya masih banyak ibu menyusui yang sangat membutuhkan informasi tentang manajemen laktasi sehingga perlunya dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di kelurahan pesurungan lor. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama 2 hari yang bertempat di RW 3 kelurahan pesurungan lor dan dihadiri oleh 25 peserta yang terdiri dari ibu hamil trimester tiga dan ibu post partum. dari hasil pengabdian masyarakat tersebut terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan ibu tentang manajemn ASI perah meliputi: cara memerah ASI, menyimpan dan memberikan ASI perah serta cara melakukan perawatan payudarah. Diharapakan kegiatan ini dapat dilaksanakan di semua Kelurahan yang ada di Kota Tegal, sehingga meningkatkan cakupan ASI ekslusif di Kota Tegal. Abstrak: Berdasarkan hasil survey yang dilaksanakan Dinas Kesehatan Kota Tegal pada siswa sekolah menengah keatas (SMA) dan sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) terdapat 56% siswa dengan anemia. Berdasarkan data tersebut Dinkes Kota Tegal melakukan pemeriksaan gizi anemia remaja putri yang bertujuan untuk menurunkan anemia sejak dini. Remaja putri dianggap lebih banyak berisiko dan akan menjadi calon ibu yang akan melahirkan sehingga pemeriksaan diprioritaskan kepada remaja putri. Remaja merupakan masa yang sangat penting dalam membentuk perilaku yang berkaitan dengan kesehatan dan gizi, namun remaja sangat rentan terhadap resiko kekurangan gizi, kurangnya aktivitas fisik, pergaulan bebas, dan berbagai perilaku yang dapat memicu masalah kesehatan. Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan remaja tentang gizi isi piringku. Metode yang digunakan dengan penyuluhan kepada remaja Paskibraka Kota Tegal tentang Triple Burden Mallnutrition dan menu gizi Isi Piringku. Evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan melalui observasi dan penjelasan kembali kepada peserta untuk memastikan peserta memahami mengenai materi. Berdasarkan hasil pre test dan posttest terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan peserta yaitu dari nilai pre test 40% pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kurang serta nilai pos test 85% dengan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan baik.Abstract: Based on the results of a survey conducted by the Tegal City Health Office on students from high school (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) there were 56% of students with anemia. Based on this data, the Tegal City Health Office conducted a nutritional examination of adolescent girls' anemia which aims to reduce anemia from an early age. Young women are considered more at risk and young women will become prospective mothers who will give birth so that the examination is prioritized for young women. Adolescence is a very important period in shaping behavior related to health and nutrition, however, adolescents are very vulnerable to the risk of malnutrition, lack of physical activity, promiscuity, and various behaviors that can trigger various health problems. The purpose of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of teenagers about the nutrition of the contents of my plate. The method used in this community service activity is counseling the Paskibraka of Tegal City about Triple Burden Mallnutrition and Balanced Nutrition on the My Plate Fill Menu. Evaluation of community service activities is carried out through observation and explanation back to participants to ensure participants understand the material. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of the participants, namely from the pre-test value of 40% less knowledge and skills and 85% post-test score with good knowledge and skills.
