The word of technology was derived from technique and logos, means knowledge about methods or doing something (technical term). Technology refered to how-to-do an act or product. In Greek language, technology means 'techne ' or 'art', or 'skill'. In term of specified meaning, technology refer to industrial process which leads to skills in performing an activity. In broad meaning, technology refer to the whole process of materials. Communication technology is differentiated from information technology. Communication technology was utilized for conducting any kind of message transmission, from the act of sending to receiving. Whereas information technology is concerning managing and collecting information. It is hard to differentiate communication and information technology due to technology convergence. Both information and communication technology, as a term, are freely exchanging today because in every communication, there's always be information as well.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis pembenah tanah yang paling baik yang digunakan pada tanah salin bukaan baru, sehingga dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman padi (Oryza sativa, L.) varietas Dendang. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan sawah bukaan baru bekas tambak garam di Dusun Cemara, Desa Cemara Wetan, Kecamatan Cantigi, Kabupaten Indramayu, Jawa Barat. Waktu penelitian mulai bulan Juli 2014 sampai dengan bulan Oktober 2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dengan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal empat perlakuan dlam enam ulangan. Faktor perlakuan tersebut meliputi macam-macam pembenah tanah, yaitu ; P 0 = Tanpa Pembenah Tanah; P 1 = 5 ton/ha Gipsum; P 2 = 10 ton/ha SP 50 (Pembenah tanah berbahan baku Biochar); P 3 = 10 ton/ha Volkanorf S532 (Pembenah tanah berbahan baku abu vulkanik dan batu alam Fosfat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaryh yang nyata pemberian berbagai pembenah tanah terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman padi varietas Dendang. Hasil yang lebih tinggi diperoleh oleh perlakuan SP 50 (P2) terhadap rata-rata tinggi tanaman 70 hst (27,66 cm), jumlah anakan 70 hst (9,53 rumpun), dan jumlah populasi tanaman pada 70 hst (113,17 tanaman), walaupun tidak berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan lainnya. Cirebon is an area that has rich culture, including culinary. Science education or at school is known as the Natural Sciences (IPA), is expected to integrate the cultural heritage of culinary in Cirebon without compromising the activity of science process containaed in it. The process of science in learning the concept of food and nutrition at schools can be done by observing Cirebon local foods available in the students’ neighborhood. The Nutrient content of Cirebon local foods such as sega jamblang, empal gentong, sega lengko, tahu gejrot, and kerupuk melarat is very useful to our health. In addition, Cirebon local foods are made from various materials and can be consumed by everyone. Science education based on Cirebon local culinary food also performed as one step instill a sense of pride to the students to love the environment and cultural heritage of Cirebon local culinary food that is tasty and contains good nutrients for our health.Keywords: sience education, science process, nutrients, Cirebon local culinary food
The idea of Cultivation Theory was first addressed by George Gerbner with his colleagues of Annenberg School of Communication, Pennsylvania (1969). Based on previous research about cultural indicators conducted by the same researcher, cultivation analysis focused on mass media impact on everyday life. Another important findings from cultivation analysis was the categorization of television audience to two different classes: heavy viewers and light viewers. Among those two, heavy viewer became the main concern of communication scholars. It was believed that heavy viewing of television behavior permanently would lead to deep and exaggerated belief toward symbolic realities as presented on the screen.
Based on the results of observation students have difficulty adjusting their learning style by teaching the teacher. And there are associations of students who love to the library, and there are students who just play and joke so that the impact on learning achievement. This study aims to determine how big the influence of student learning styles and association of peers against student achievement on subjects IPS class VIII in SMP Negeri 1 Mundu Kabupaten Cirebon.
