This quantitative study aimed at finding out the effectiveness of self and peer-correction techniques in teaching writing at the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. The samples of this study were taken through random sampling technique consisting of 25 students. The data were collected from pre-test and post-test. The gained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-test. This test was administrated to know answer the hypothesis. The result of the study indicated that self and peer-correction technique was significantly effective in teaching writing for the twelfth graders of MAS Muallimin NW Boro Tumbuh in the academic year 2022/2023. This can be seen from the result of the students’ mean score in the pre-test and post-test. In the pre-test, the mean score was 8.07 with the standard deviation 1.809. In the post-test, whereas, the mean score was 9.77 and the standard deviation was 2.221. The result proved that the pre-test was lower than the post-test. In addition, the hypothesis testing showed that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In a nutshell, the self and peer—correction technique is an advisable technique to apply by the English teacher in their writing class.
This study aims to determine the perceptions of students about the application of the Shadowing technique in learning Speaking at Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The data in this study were collected from 38 respondents from 3rd semester students of Institut Pendidikan Nusantara Global. The data collection technique used in this study was in the form of a questionnaire containing 5 aspects of the assessment of the use of shadowing techniques including aspects of interesting methods, aspects of student motivation, aspects of student understanding, aspects of time effectiveness and aspects of learning outcomes. The results of the research conducted on students' perceptions of the shadowing technique, are as follows: The results of the interesting aspect of the method, the majority of students gave a positive response of 87%, then in terms of the motivational aspect got positive results of 100%, from the aspect of understanding students got positive results of 86%, from the aspect of time management got positive results of 84 and from the aspect of student learning outcomes got positive results of 97%. Of the five data are in the vulnerable 75%-100%. it can be concluded that the use of shadowing techniques in learning speaking from students' perceptions can be categorized as good.
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of phonics approach in teaching reading for the seventh graders of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel, East Lombok, and to what extent it is effective. This research was designed as pre-experimental with read aloud test as the instrument to collect data. The sample of this research consisted of 36 students of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel. The sample was taken through purposive sampling. In collecting the data, a pre-test and a post-test were given to the students. SPSS 17 for Windows and paired-sample t-test were applied to analyze the collected data. After calculating the data, it was found that there was a significant difference in the mean scores between pre-test and post-test, t(df=35) = 23.314 at p = 0.001, meaning that the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. In a nutshell, phonics approach was significantly effective in teaching reading for the seventh graders of SMP Negeri 1 Aikmel.
Tridarma perguruan tinggi merupakan sebuah kewajiban bagi setiap perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Tri darma perguruan tinggi yang dimaksud adalah pengajaran, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dua dari tiga tridarma yang dapat dikatakan wajib adalah penelitian dan pengabdian kepada mayarakat dimana hasil dari tridarma ini harus menghasilkan target luaran berupa sebuah artikel. Untuk memenuhi artikel dibutuhkan pemahaman tentang Oprations Journal System (OJS) untuk menunjang publikasi karya ilmiah yang dihasilkan. Pengabdian ini berjudul pelatihan oprations journal system (ojs) dalam meningkatkan publikasi jurnal ilmiah dosen di lingkungan institut pendidikan nusantara global. kegiatan Ini ditujukan untuk meningkatkan publikasi dosen di lingkungan kampus. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat dilihat bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan antara hasil sebelum melakukan pelatihan dan setelah pelatihan sebesar 71%. Hal ini dilihat dari pemahaman peserta tentang jurnal dan cara mengoprasikan oprasional jurnal system. Pada kegiatan ini juga peserta sangat antusias dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil.
This research aims to determine the role of the Wattpad application in honing the ability to write short stories for second grade students of SMAN 3 Praya. This type of research uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research were students of class XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 3 Praya in the academic year 2022/2023, consisting of 13 boys and 18 girls. The researcher uses observation sheets, interview, and documentation to collect the data. The results of this research show that the Wattpad application makes it easy to train readers' imaginations and provide ideas that can be developed more broadly, Wattpad trains them to empathize, so they can pour various emotions into their stories and teach students how to write good and correct stories, so that there is a desire to be able to write for students after reading several stories contained in the Wattpad application. The conclusion from the research was the Wattpad application can help students to improve students' writing short stories because in the Wattpad application they learn to make good stories, use the right words and build emotions in a story.
