The relevance of the investigated problem is triggered by the need of further improvement of the efficiency of foreign language business communication training to Master degree students. This article is focused on the development of a pedagogical model of foreign language business communication concentrated teaching to Masters students at universities. The leading approaches to the research of this problem are logical and gnosiological analysis, method of actualization, selection, systematization and generalization of foreign language teaching methods and original sources. The article reveals, that negative effects of the traditional system of education are associated with inefficient organization of the educational process, which makes it necessary to identify and create the organizational and pedagogical conditions that increase the efficiency of foreign language business communication concentrated training to Master degree students. The main result of the research is the developed model of foreign language business communication concentrated training to Masters students, which characterizes activity of all subjects of the educational process and its organization, conditions for the effective implementation of this model. Also, the developed model includes monitoring the effectiveness of the educational process, aimed at diagnosing the levels of formation of students' activity motivation, speaking levels, and the criteria of their evaluation in the process of training. Materials of this article can be useful for enriching foreign language teaching methodology and pedagogy.
The dynamic growth of international collaboration in the scientific and professional spheres leads to a wave-like increase in the volume of translations of professional and scientific texts and determines the relevance of the problem under study. Translators have problems translating abbreviations of professional terms. This paper analyzes the ways of translating English abbreviations in the field of materials science. As research methods, we used, among other things, the analysis of methods of translating English abbreviations into Russian, the study of articles in the field of materials science, the collection of data on abbreviations of professional terms and the comparison of the ways of translation of abbreviations of professional terms in the texts of materials science. The article reveals the features of the ways of translating abbreviations of professional terms in materials science texts. The main results of the research work are the identification of problems of translation of English abbreviations that the translator faces in the field of materials science, and the determination of the use frequency of one or another translation method. The materials of the article can be useful for researchers in this field, physics students and translators of scientific and technical texts.
The relevance of the studied problem is due to the activation of the processes of integration and globalization of business, scientific and educational relations, as well as the expansion of international cooperation, accompanied by an increase in the volume of communications in various professional fields. Scientific communication, both oral and written, has become an integral part of higher education and scientific activity. Analyzing and processing up-to-date international educational and scientific information to build new scientific ideas using the skills and abilities of correct translation has actualized the need for research. The study discusses the problems of translating construction terminology from English into Russian. The goal of the article is to analyze various ways of translating synonyms, antonyms, homonyms in construction. We used methods of analysis, processing, generalization and systematization of scientific works to get a broader view of the problem and consider it from different angles. Ways to overcome the problems discussed were proposed. The article may be of interest to teachers of English and students of non-linguistic universities.
Relevance of the issue under study is due to the fact that students and IT specialists often face the difficulties in use of terms, and consequently insufficient knowledge of English computer terminology affects the efficiency of their work. The purpose of the article is to analyze the impact of computer terminology awareness on professional skills and qualification of IT specialists. The leading approaches to the study are empirical, experimental (conducting a survey, a questionnaire). The results showed efficiency of using English computer terminology to increase professional skills of IT specialists. The research highlights that knowledge of English computer terminology is one of the important professional skills of IT specialists. The article may be useful for students, teachers, and specialists in the branch of IT and for all computer users.
